  1. That’s a good page. We have been put on high alert that we’ve not yet heard the last of the dastardly Joker
  2. a nonrestored 2.0 just went for $220k in the last Heritage auction. It's crazytown
  3. Well, at least this makes more sense to me than the rocketing prices of, say, a Star Wars variant issue.
  4. You must be a better storyteller than me. All I get are hostile responses
  5. On that 2.0? Can we talk about that a minute? our collective shock and awe has so far been confined to a thread with “Heritage” in the title, so I think it appropriate we take the matter up here. I think everyone on this thread already values Bat 1 highly, but still. $220k for a 2.0? is this a bubble? Is this sustainable? What is the future for Bat 1?
  6. The who? actually I am shocked at all of it. Winter auctions have normally been more reasonably priced as collectors get caught up in the holidays. Let’s see if that norm gets shattered. Maybe 7102 or whoever might take a break
  7. Blown the F out. Live bidding raised it $50k! My comfortable lead, going into the live portion, wasn’t I thought us Holocaust collectors were dwindling, but apparently not
  8. $222k for the 2.0 Bat 1 with tape. it’s official. Collecting has untethered itself from reality
  9. I hope this was your piece. I had remorse for my comment above and hoped it wouldn’t affect the sale, should the consignor have turned out to be you. Turns out I needn’t have worried
  10. This book has highs and lows, depending on eye appeal and chance. But $180k for a Cap 1 4.0 with a rusty staple is new territory, IMO. and for that Bat 1 2.0 that ends in a few hours? New record on the way there, too. It’s at $150k now, and it ain’t done yet
  11. This is a very good learning experience. Moderate resto gets about 1/9 (I think I’ll go with 10%) of its unrestored counterpart. that seems like a good price for the universal copy, right?
