  1. The upcoming Tec 27 page 2 is surely from the same source as pages 1 and 3 that sold a few months back. The cuts are exactly the same. Wonder why it didn’t sell with the others. Well, here comes a good litmus test for how the coronavirus has or hasn’t affected things
  2. Not sure if this has been posted or not. It's in tonight's Heritage auction. Not mine, but I thought it fit for this thread . . . File this under "scary clown"
  3. Thanks. I didn’t know. Next time I visit my brother in Columbus, I am absolutely for sure dragging him here
  4. I know. But they still always go for thousands. I’m tempted myself. His works truly were magical
  5. I'm sure you all have seen this is coming up . . . https://comics.ha.com/itm/memorabilia/comic-related/bill-watterson-calvin-and-hobbes-the-last-sunday-print-signed-dated-12-31-95-universal-press-syndicate-/a/7229-92180.s?ic2=mytracked-lotspage-lotlinks-12202013&tab=MyTrackedLots-101116
  6. As soon as people stop being scared, your piece will come. Never soon enough, but it will come
  7. Yes, I left my crate in the garage for a week before opening it. It is an odd time of to be getting shipments from Europe. These are carvings in shadow boxes
  8. Yes, @Primetime. Things were simpler back then. I had a Tec 31 and 33 then, but at the time they weren’t held in the same regard they are today. and how do you like that Scarcity Index? Really, when it came to our estimates of surviving copies back then, our methods now seem quaint. We were all just stumbling thru the fog with flashlights
  9. I haven’t read thru the string, so forgive me if this has already been posted. One thing about this quarantine is it’s giving me time to drag things out that I hadn’t seen in awhile. this is from 1992. I can post the rest if there’s anyone on this string who hasn’t seen it
  10. Your story is similar to mine. This shipped from Italy a week before the quarantine. . .
  11. YES! And I’ve long passed the point where I even bother to open them. Bronze Age books or game worn jerseys but woowoo, what I want to know is where on earth you go and do every day from 8 am to 7 pm!!??
  12. I wouldn't have done it. Even if the seller allowed returns, life is too short to get caught in the quagmire. This is a book that I see people offer for sale at multiples of guide, but I don't know if people are buying them or not. Incidentally, Gator has one for sale in his current thread:
  13. when I called his feat immortal, I was trying to throw him a bone. Being nice costs nothing. Not everything needs a good drilling down. So bring on the bricks . . .
  14. “Gary Carter, the token blonde in the group, was the silent type but nonetheless a lanky heartthrob on the rhythm guitar. He has become the band’s historian.”
