  1. Troll on troller! P.S. pics or it didn't happen!
  2. None of mine have NW 78, or is that in the pack instead of showing on the outside?
  3. What in the ..... does FDQ stand for? Frankenstein Drag Queens? Fashion Doll Quarterly? Certainly not Fair Distributed Queue......
  4. I am looking forward to this later tonight.
  5. Oh it is a terrible way to sell comics. It doesn't make the comics themselves terrible though.
  6. That is what I did for most of mine. Ordered from Third Eye out of Maryland, highly recommend them.
  7. These books are not difficult to get if you truly have interest. Independent publishers historically have not served up their offers up a silver platter the way DC and Marvel could. I have 7 stores within a 70 miles radius of my house that all carry new books. Not one of them even knows about this company. I think I can call one shop about 90 miles away that might carry them because he specializes in indy books. But I have a real hard time calling this company an indy company with the financing they have behind them. This isn't Arctic, Scout, or other small Indys. If you are dead set on in person purchasing or after the illustrious buttons/sticker, I agree it is problematic. I am in the same boat, being in a pretty large market and there is no shops within 2-3hrs of me and I would not take time off to go be in person for any of the releases. With that there are plenty of shops that have the books available online, each of the Bad Idea offerings I wanted I was able to order over the interwebs. Eniac #1 was the only one that was hard to get, and if I had missed that one in the 1st printing I likely would have not continued with the rest of the series.
  8. Alan along with Inhyuk Lee and Kael Ngu are doing a private signing through Scott's Collectibles. If you have anything, now is the time. The prices are really reasonable imo. https://www.scottscollectables.co.uk/big-hero-three
  9. I didn't bother with the button chasing or the sticker searching. And I will not worry about this one either. I enjoyed Eniac and Tankers (so far). I am good after that.
  10. The Chopshop Journal are a NYCC 2013 giveaway for people that went through the Walking Dead Zombie House. The Owner's Manual was given out at SDCC 2012 and limited to around 500 copies. The Hyundai Undead program celebrated the release of WD #100.
  11. My LCS is a non-profit, they are all about child literacy. I brought one of my stepsons tonight that is not normally with me on comic days. They asked him about who his fav hero(s) were. Out the owners come with random books from last year and earlier, including the UF4 Halloween-Fest FCBD reprint. All their back issues are below ebay, unless it is something new and then they try to keep it either close to ebay (to combat the scalpers) unless you are a regular and they know what you are into. They actually surprised me this week with one of the Marvel Series One cards someone brought in, they gave it to me. It was Thanos. I spend on average at least 2hrs in there talking with them every Wednesday about the current week's books. It sounds like I would also love your shop.
  12. Maybe "damage" replacements that went unclaimed and so they sent them out to stores that did not receive any in the initial wave?
  13. I was dropping the book until issue 4. I liked 1-2 but I really did not care for #3. Issue 4 though man that changed my mind and issue 5 is not different. Such a great set of surprises. Also if you are not on Twitter to see or even interact with Radiant Black and Red you are missing out, it is part of the reason I event contemplated getting issue 4 after my disappointment with issue 3.
  14. That is impressive, kudos to them for not jacking up the price simply because they could!
  15. My guess is it will be a "special" version of that copy or something. But yeah like the buttons I didn't even bother. I am not pre-ordering the whole run, that is not something I am willing to do.
  16. My thoughts exactly. Or if it was someone just walking out and back in buying them over and over. I am right there with ya.
  17. I went into one shop to buy Tankers #1 and they tried to upsell me immediately for the entire run, I declined. However they did drop it to the normal cover price since I was not from there when I bought it. With that said when I was buying it they asked if I had bought one from their sister store. They were holding to the 1 per customer rule quite seriously.
  18. Pretty sure it is for hype, just like the Bad Idea going away drop.
  19. Whaleville is supposed to get a N1P but otherwise I have not seen any others with a N1P.
  20. Boom - start listening at 29 mins in, Dinesh literally says they are planning to rename the company.
  21. If they are banking on people wanting the books for the readability then limiting in the way they have hinders that possibility. But I do agree, they are good reads. @ygogolak not sure if cbr has more info than others but this was posted just recent. https://www.cbr.com/bad-idea-announces-closure/
