  1. Make sure the barcode does show it to be #4 not #1. Otherwise it is the facsimile edition. Some did slip through getting labeled as the real deal. 1st print should look like this -
  2. Evidently a bunch more came in during Megacon. I am personally glad mine is still a mystery. All of them that have been revealed are spectacular though.
  3. Other artists do insanely detailed work like that one. Quah is notorious for "sneaking" in references to other things like pop culture 80s icons (Death Star, ET, etc)
  4. @Kevin Boyd there should be a convention list of people set up at the show eventually. Find a facilitator that is attending and seek them out first when you get there, they may have some signings set up, or they can meet you at the front of the line for any sigs you get to "witness the sigs!" That is my understanding. @Crops068 may have more experience Best to find a facilitator first, past ones included comicsketchart.com edit: oh and welcome to the boards, I hope we can all enjoy the comic con!! It really depends on who you are after. Some of the artists might be in a booth with a facilitator/witness. Otherwise there will be CGC authorized facilitators there, like Agents of Slabs (not saying they will be there, just an example). And Addy is correct, find the facilitator at the show and work out who you are getting stuff done with and work out logistics. When CGC is at a con I know they assign you a witness and when you get near the front of a line you can text them to meet you for the sig. I would imagine a facilitator will do something similar. Now if you are looking to send a book to someone to have signed and handled in that manner, I would check the Sig Series forum and see if any of those guys, like Rich Henn, are going to be in attendance.
  5. Just posted, if you are looking for details about attending his memorial.
  6. The last update I have is that the majority were done and back at CCS/CGC. The sketch covers were not done at the signing event last Nov. They had over 300 to complete. Trish has completed her part, Tony has completed about two thirds. I know some have started receiving theirs. I am still waiting on mine, it is of my bulldog that passed in 2020. I will gladly wait until they get it done.
  7. It had been sitting around $3500 then that $4500 one hit and a couple in the upper $3k range right after (if my memory serves me). It looks to have settled back in the mid-$3k range. Like most books there is an ebb and flow, there is also plenty of stock (in general) of UF4 floating around that it will keep this same wave imo. I try to keep an eye on it so I can toss the highs over at good old banned Hollywood since he was so pushy about me selling mine when it was a $1k-ish book 2yrs ago.
  8. If there is a flaw that you believe was caused during the grading process, fill out a ME submission. I believe there is a time limit for this to be done free, but I cannot find it at the moment on the site. I believe it is 14 days after receiving. And I always recommend calling CS before doing the ME process otherwise you could get charged for it if they do not approve the ME submission.
  9. @jones554Which option(s) did you select for the return of your items? If you only selected option 3, then they did exactly as you asked. But if you specified Option 3 for some and Option 4 for others, then it was likely just an oversight. Remember people are human and make mistakes.
  10. You know what will help the morale of the CS reps at CGC? A nicely worded email over to them or someone else that can forward it up to management. Praise is a great motivational tool. Lift up not hold a person down. Unless you are a serial killer, then by all means, you do what you do. I can attest though that they do not receive many compliments. Customer Service is generally a tireless job, but it is what you are signing up for. There will be great days, there will be terrible days (unfortunately it is likely more on the terrible side). Never take it personally and know that the next caller is another person with another issue. And like VHS, be kind and rewind.
  11. The stores around here didn't, they had a metric buttload of them. Between Dark Crisis and X-Men it was an entire table of product at one LCS and my LCS had plenty of both. It would not surprise me though if some ordered and held back. I am not sure any of the stores in my area ordered the foil Dark Crisis book though, seeing how it was like $5 for the shops. I know Third Eye was/is charging $10 for it, which is not terrible.
  12. I volunteer at my LCS (last year and this year) and my kiddo comes and helps too. It is a big to do, they have local creators and stuff for kids to do. We manned the carnival games this year. Was a scorcher of a day but we all had a good amount of shade (as it is outside). But was great fun. I did get all the FCBD books I was after as did my kiddo. 🙂
  13. With proper protection. Like eye wear, a face mask and gloves.
  14. Ghost Rider #1, while this is a nice cover, kinda hard to get excited when the main cover is by Kael Ngu. Venom Lethal Protector #1, also a nice new cover. Carnage Forever #1 is the standard logo recolor. Venom #5 is the standard logo recolor. Wolverine: Patch is a completely new cover. Savage Spider-man is a completely new cover. Han Solo standard logo recolor. Moon Knight is just a recolor of the main cover. I would say it really depends on what is IN the packs on if this set is going to be worth the effort looking for them.
  15. Luckily it hasn't been covid (we've been through that in Apr 2020), but we have had the flu, ear infections, sinus infections, and a concussion in the last 2 months alone. Just been quite the wild ride.
