  1. They had a really easy entrance open like 5-ish minutes walk from the parking lots. Then it was a trek inside to get to the event hall but it was inside at that point. We took 2 cars and parked next to each other. Then went we left me and the in-law to be went and nabbed the cars and picked up the ladies and kiddos. It was rather easy and uneventful, which was quite nice since we were all EXHAUSTED by then.
  2. I open all of mine and I normally take pictures but I have since deleted all of those pics figuring I didn't need them anymore. I appreciate ya'll looking too. I am just really at a loss and it is gunna drive me insane as to where this came from.
  3. Ok it wasn't just me that thought it was warm in there, warmer than the last couple of them.
  4. Does anyone recall if the Purple Venom 25 pack era had a chance at Spiderverse #6? Was going through a shortbox I had not inventoried yet and mixed in with books Walmart pack finds was.... I certainly do not recall buying it. So trying to figure if I just really lucked out in one of the many Walmart packs I nabbed.
  5. Mini-me ended up with a signed book from Garrett Gunn and I am waiting on a double signed print and a sketch commission. Fiancé got a new wired wrapped stone ring of some sort and a couple prints from a local artist friend of mine. As a family we got a really cool Lenticular print of Giancarlo Esposito inscribed “to the house of EL” (mine and hers last initials) I literally didn’t look for a single comic. There were some I wanted to browse for too. We packed so much into that 9hrs and I wouldn’t change a thing.
  6. Entering the con Getting a badge (what we don’t need no stinking badges!) Random Warhammer like 8ft tall cosplayer. me and @ADAMANTIUM Random crowd My love and my fiancé 😂 This Shredder also had foot soldiers patrolling! my random sneak pic of @ADAMANTIUM more random crowd this was a straight up sneak attack pic of @Monster's Lair Comics more random crowd this was the badge scanner individual on the way out. She was awesome!
  7. As normal I didn’t look at dealers much, I did run by and say hi to @mysterio and @Monster's Lair Comics. Was great seeing them. Picked up a sketch from Ottley for a friend of a friend. It turned out amazing. Met Dan Scott from Scott’s Collectibles, dude is 💯 amazing to his customer base! Saw Kael Ngu sketching a BWL on a cover, which was amazing. Met and talked to the Miranda Bros (Inaki and Roy) about We Live and where it is going. Those are some seriously talented guys! Got a Texas-sized hug from Garrett Gunn at the Source Point booth. Hopped on the live stream with my buddies at Lost N Comics YouTube channel. Saw a TON of amazing cosplayers. And it was insanely crowded. Waited about 2hrs to meet Giancarlo Esposito with the fam. He was an absolute gentleman and worth the wait. He also came into the crowd to check out a cosplayer’s backpack that he spotted. The cosplayer had no idea, it was hilarious. And my absolute highlight was meeting Alan Quah finally. He is one of my favorite cover artists right now and a great guy. Paid for a commission that he is going to complete and send me later. I have a bunch of various pictures, mostly of me and various people. Will post them when safari cooperates or I get home and push them to my PC to upload that way.
  8. Def not $100 anymore. Remarks are $150 now. That sort of sketch would run $400+
  9. Tomorrow will be much busier. The family and youth passes for Sat only sold out completely. No other dates have ticket sellouts. I’ll be there tomorrow to harass @mysterio and @Monster's Lair Comics ❤️
  10. https://www.greateraustincomiccon.com/ Just in case anyone was trying to figure out the con in question. Maybe one of the comic vendors will be able to witness, but I am not sure. I do not recall CGC witnessing at the one I attended in 2019 but wasn't looking for it either. Have you reached out to the event organizer to see if they are aware?
  11. I hope both of you stub your toe this weekend while running barefoot in your own homes. I stepped on legos.... That make you feel any better?
  12. Def agree with it all matching with 27. Is there any matching with 29? I am not seeing a car rescue or Lois wearing a yellow dress in it at all.
  13. Ask the seller to do a cert lookup on his own book. It should have the corrected verbiage on it not the incorrect. What is initially put on the label is pulled from the census database at that time, so after the fix is in place all verification attempts should show the correct data as updated in the database. Here is the three examples provided in the thread. Notice both the issue 29s no longer show Key Comments but the 27 does.
  14. A reholder will fix it as the Census has Action Comics #27 listed as Lois Lane's 1st cover.
  15. I understand, the offer will always be available to you. So if you decide you'd like a random "fun" late present. Just hit me up.
  16. I will be sure to take pics and send em your way. I am sure ML will miss having you there. @mysterio and @Monster's Lair Comics looking forward to seeing youz guyz (as long as ya'll are making the trek)! This year looks like quite the turn out for talent both celeb and creator alike.
  17. Went to my 1st convention to meet and get some stuff signed by Mike Zeck (absolutely fantastic experience). Ended up moving from VA to TX, after the move I started thinking about grading as a means to protect some of my books, the signed one included. So I joined up and quickly learned of my epic blunder, much worse than even going against a Sicilian when death is on the line. Made friends with the resident board greeter, @ADAMANTIUM, Walking Deadhead, @BladeTX, fellow @electricprune contest winner, @Bkd Reader, and the off topic champion, @kav. Have had some great conversations over the last few years with several others and met in person with some as well. Entered contests (grading and otherwise) and just generally stalk the boards throughout the week, interjecting as I feel I can add to the conversation.
