I agree with TwoPiece that CGC will do its best to make it right. But man those pictures are painful.

You will get 10% (Premium) or 15% off (Elite) on CGC grading tiers (excluding Sig Series, on-site, and CCS services). And you get 20% discount on additional grader notes for Elite only, i.e. grader notes on items you did not submit. Your Modern subs (if they are max value of $200) would be $18 for Premium or $17 for Elite for each book instead of $20. You would just take the fee per book and take off the percentage.

That does not seem like a sound business practice if you want to keep regular customers. The LCS I have a pull for instituted a 1 per customer limit on 193, except I already had one in my pull so they allowed me to get a 2nd and pulled it for me. Glad they did as the copy I read has some damage to the back corner I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. So I have one as a keeper and one as the reader. This shop also does not sell back issues, at all, I have no idea what they do after a book gets to a certain age. They deal a bunch in TPBs I know that. And they are not a fan of collectors it seems, they limit normal shelf buys to 2 copies per person. Also sorry for getting TWD cancelled, since I literally only started the pull for it the day 192 released.......

Joey is spot on. The tier system is to protect you in the event of damage/loss when it is at CGC, so knowingly dropping it down to a lower tier only hurts you. But then there can be really large money differences between the grades so that comes into play also. I would recommend being fair with your assessment of the value going into it with the idea of "if this gets damaged, lost, stolen, etc. How much would it cost me to replace it?" If you send in a $1750 FMV book under the $200 tier, they will likely bump you to the correct tier and reach out to let you know the differences in price and why (that would be my guess at least).

Anyway to know this is the case? I am just curious if I should expect it to come back into stock or not. I know there is a 2nd print already slated and orders for that are due by July 8th. I am also hoping the 2nd print image is the final one if so I laughed when I saw it.
