  1. It is on my list, that is doing really well. Hope it goes higher for you too!
  2. Here is to hoping this is resolved when I get stuff back in 3-5 months!
  3. Already updated on the website too.
  4. You would want the "stuffed animal" version then that makes the coin sound. Otherwise it would be disappointing.
  5. Did you submit them at a con? This being con season I would imagine the check in times are going to be longer. Either way, maybe reach out to their customer service in the morning?
  6. I am in the Austin area, so not too horribly far but only went Saturday due to the drive.
  7. Oh I wish I knew @Kevin Boyd was there, would have been great to have met him. Also all you other boardies that attended, only @ADAMANTIUM and myself met up on Saturday briefly. Looks like we had at least a few in attendance. Kevin, it was a great show. My mini-me is already talking about wanting to go back next year.
  8. Looks like you need to start shopping for a ring......
  9. I would recommend you get a professional to verify it.
  10. Just got these done yesterday at Fan Expo Dallas. Batman 608 - Jeph Loeb is being added today (facilitator) - will update again once it is back from CGC Justice League vol2 #1 (David Finch Sketch Cover Variant) Batman: Damned (Jim Lee Variant Cover) Captain America Annual #8 Marvel Super Heroes: Secret Wars #7 Marvel Super Heroes: Secret Wars #8 Wolverine Limited Series #1 Infinity Gauntlet #1 Jim Lee 18x24 Litho
  11. I didn't video or picture it but there was a pretty epic Band of Spideys going through the outer ring yesterday. Front man was Spider-Punk with a speaker in tow blasting music, as he moved along the hallway more and more joined in.
  12. It was more than fun, it was amazing. It was busy, busier than I have experienced before but shockingly not as busy as I expected, unless you were over in the celeb area that place was a madhouse. Getting there for doors opening yesterday I was able to get all the signatures from artists done with witnessing no later than 10:30. With the exception of Jim Lee, because his was a prepaid private signing. Which left the rest of the day to walk around and get celeb stuff or whatever mini-me wanted. So yeah ended up with Ryan Hurst and Khary Payton sigs and table photos. Then some stuffed animal shopping, because no convention is complete without some odd animal for the kiddo and he found 2. For context though the last con I went to was total the size of likely just the artist alley for this one. So there is that. This was also my 1st time interacting with CGC directly and submitting items. Their booth, with the exception of literally at doors open, always had a wait. The witnesses were friendly and if you were at the booth and they walked up, they would ask "anybody looking for/need a witness?" Which I thought was spectacular. One of the witnesses actually gave me some really useful info about getting a 3rd signature for one of my books, which is happening sometime today. The most positive though was @Brittany M. Reading the comments here on the forums about here and meeting her in person. The comments are correct but they are not enough. She is invaluable and made my time at the CGC booth not only memorable but superbly positive. And here is mini-me's 1st slab (there is a story to this which I will tell at a later date).
  13. I do not believe you can hold it for a different convention but the process has changed on the overall hand off. Let me start off by saying that I have never done it the previous way, so I do not know the specific there, only my current experience from Fan Expo Dallas yesterday. Currently the CGC process is check in at the booth, get a witness, go to artist with the witness and get the signature (if the artist is unavailable or has a long line then the witness will give you an alternate form of contact to get him to return when ready), witness puts the comic or comics in a tamper-proof evidence bag and notates a circular signature sheet. Once finished the witness will seal the bag and hand it back to you with the circular sheet included in the bag, this documents who was visited and how many signatures that person provided. Then when you are ready to finalize your paperwork and hand everything over to CGC head back to the booth and they will get you squared away. This takes ownership of them keeping your books, overnight for instance, in the event that you are getting something signed by multiple people and not all are available on the same day. I did this yesterday, I had Scott Williams sign something, had the witness seal the bag, then when it was time for Jim Lee's private signing at the same con I took the sealed bag to the facilitator for the signing and they cracked it open, went through the witnessed line and had the stuff signed, then back to the facilitator and they finalized the paperwork and will submit it to the CGC booth.
  14. So the only comics I ended up purchasing was the Con goodies of foil Batman 608 and Foil Batman: Harley Quinn. Just didn't have the time to dive into the different comic sellers for books to be fair. Spending 1 day there with mini-me was jam packed. I however did get a bunch of stuff signed and submitted to CGC. Ed McGuinness, Spider-Gwen #25, all three Unknown Comic cover variants. Mike Zeck, Secret Wars #7 and #8 along with Captain America Annual #8. Joe Rubenstein, Wolverine Limited #1 and Infinity Gauntlet #1 along with a Thanos sketch! Scott Williams and Jim Lee, Batman 608 and Justice League #1 (David Finch Sketch variant). Jim Lee also signed Batman: Damned # 1 (his variant cover). 608 is being facilitated tomorrow and signed by Jeph Loeb as well. Got to meet Khary Payton and Ryan Hurst, both pretty cool individuals. Lastly mini-me received his 1st graded book. It is a story that once I have permission I will provide more details but he talked about it the whole way home (3hr drive). For your viewing pleasure. My "happy" Thanos by Rubenstein!
  15. It is pretty busy, busier than I am used to for conventions. Only pics I have taken are of me and mini-me or with artists. I did pickup a sketch from Rubenstein and I will post my selfie with Jim Lee later. 😀
  16. I would recommend he reach out to CGC directly for that answer.
  17. @ADAMANTIUM How much is the Rubenstein sketch??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I will add pics once I get there and start moving around with mini-me for sure.
  18. Does that tear on the back line up with the damage on the front? My gut is 6.0-6.5
  19. That totally is what that looks like, flesh melting and all!
  20. I had not thought of PayPal for tracking. Went and looked, nothing there either. i will just lower star and mention in comments about lack of tracking. thanks for for feedback, it was definitely helpful!
  21. So I am wondering what would be the recommended course of action. I did a purchase of a book I was looking for, to replace a current book I have in "hopefully" a better condition and to get it signed. My original is signed but not witnessed, which was my own screw up not understanding back then the rules of engagement, so to speak. So I find one in the price range I am looking for with the seller accepting offers. I send them an offer, they counter, I counter back, they counter, I accept. In all honesty I likely overpaid but I am willing to accept that because of my need for it currently. Now back to my question. Ebay provides the "expected delivery" estimate. It is within the window that I need it by. As soon as the counter comes in that I accept I paid. I waited a full 24hrs and sent a polite message just inquiring when to expect shipping info. I get no response. Another day goes by, I get notification from ebay this time that the item has shipped, mind you still nothing from the seller. So again I reach out and politely ask about tracking information. The following day the seller finally responds that he would provide tracking that evening. That has been 5 days ago. I have received the item, ebay still shows it as shipped not delivered. I want to give feedback so if others bid/win from this person they will know that he is unresponsive or just will simply not provide tracking info. Should I just forget it or put it is an neutral?
  22. I have to agree with TwoPiece here, the full run of signatures is a wow factor on that. Is it possible the 9.8 will drop to a 9.6? Sure but as long as you are careful it certainly could retain the 9.8.
