  1. If you want to (and can) pay for both and average the two, then I would say it is completely your call. I recently subbed to GPA and like it thus far. Not looked into Go Collect, guess I will go look into that now too.
  2. Have a good weekend, hope it is busy. I used to be in that area but moved away.
  3. Some really great advice in here. Kudos guys! @picon3 Good luck on whichever you decide to do. Nice book none the less.
  4. Hope it is nothing major! Get well sir!
  5. That's one way to get Shaken Comic Syndrome.....
  6. Seller took the listing down with "error in the listing"
  7. Correct, if you are submitting it to CCS the yellow label will stay, as long as the slab is intact. If it is a special label that is no longer available, i.e. the Stan Lee label, you might lose that and get a standard label instead.
  8. When I zoom in I don't see anything at the end of Shooter's date.
  9. Relisting without disclosing the known damage..... definitely deserving! Glad I am not on the receiving end of your bad side RMA!
  10. Sound like you need some monitoring in place that will notify you of any thresholds you are getting close to reaching. Just dealt with email bounce notifications with AWS that could have been catastrophic if they had not notified the top IAM user on our account. Glad you got it figured out and appreciate the updates!
  11. Now that is just evil. But well within reason for this jabberwocky!
  12. I used toploaders with cardboard lining inside a backpack. And for anything extra I picked up I brought along a comic folio I bought off Amazon for $10 each.
  13. Hopefully they institute a sort of "time-out" for instances like this. Otherwise the owner and potential bidders lose out.
  14. Firstly Welcome to the boards! Just like any business with competitors there will be some that like one company over another. CGC has what seems like the best track record of the 3 known companies that grade comics. (take that as you will as I am pretty new here) The last con I went to they also had the busiest booth compared to the competitor that was there, he who shall not be named. Just like with any company they are not without flaws, they have TAT (turn around time) and newton ring issues, which are the biggest two issues present currently.
  15. I will check to see when something ships, then daily to see if the delivery changes. As I have had that happen with almost everything I have ordered. In both early and later for delivery. Normally just a day in either direction but still like to know when I have to stop at the mailbox since it is not located at my house but at the end of the street. Out of site, out of mind otherwise.
  16. I am going to live dangerously and walk in on release day to buy a copy the old fashioned way!
  17. Ok yeah that was not me. Good, glad to know I didn't beat you out on the $15 comic I bought.
  18. I actually won a bid because I was watching it as it was in US on the watch list but Canadian on the listing itself. So I had a conversion window open to know exactly how much I was willing to go up to. Hopefully it wasn't you I beat out on my auction. (it wasn't Godzilla comics I swear!)
  19. Man now I want a sammich or some donuts or hell a donut sammich!
  20. You have a few options. 1. Since it is a blue label you can crack it yourself and then you would have the peace of mind on how it will be handled when the case is opened (not saying CGC will mishandle just lowers the chances of any oops on their side). Of course by that token if you slip it is completely on you. If you do it this way, please keep the label so you can report it to CGC this is that label for census purposes. 2. Take it still slabbed to where Neal is signing, making sure there will be a CGC witness and have them facilitate the signing. They will crack the case, get it signed, and submit it to CGC. This is in the instance it is a "private" screening. 3. Take it still slabbed to a convention where Neal is attending. Go to a CGC booth (if they are also attending). Sign up for a witness to follow you to witness the signature. You at that point can either ask them to crack it or have it already cracked and prepared (bring the label with you if you already cracked for Census purposes). He could be one that is very specific on where he signs, so if you window bag your book and it is not where he wants, he could either ask you to remove it from the bag or remove it himself, both scenarios risk possible damage. Once the signature is completed the witness will then evidence bag and seal it. You will then need to return to the CGC booth to have them check it in for submission. That is the 3 scenarios I can think of.
