  1. I didn't realize it was the same copy I posted about a few weeks ago. Definitely a great looking .5. With this new expansion of the DC cinematic universe, I expect it to continue to trend upward. Thank goodness there are movies to help keep Batman relevant...!
  2. Yup - issue 36 is the final issue.
  3. This was a mess even before today's announcement. And the lemmings rush into the sea....
  4. That's because it is not recalled. It is delayed despite some here would have you believe. who the heck knows anymore.. the whole thing is so absurd.. iev heard people saying that this hottpic malarkey is the next 35 cent star wars  People forget that - this book had a million variants and I wouldnt be surprised that even if its recalled the print run of that variant will prolly be higher than some other variants of the same book.. Theres just too damn many Well IH324 is picking up steam on the bay probably because of this too. A few weeks ago, it was selling $8-10 tops. Last few days they've been going for $30-40+ or more. Has there been any definitive statement about whether the Hot Topics that are being "recalled" are indeed actually being destroyed - or just stored for later distribution? Looks like they are going back on sale From facebook Supposedly email sent to Hot Topic Stores official HOT TOPIC Star Wars #1 variant update: a) Do NOT purchase this variant on eBay at ridiculous prices ! b) Stores that did not discard and/or destroy their copies are returning them to the sales floor and continue to sell at $4.99 c) There is no confirmation that a "reprint" is coming. d) The FUNKO POP! Avengers image on the back of the comic is no longer "confidential". e) Bleeding Cool's terms of "recall" / "pulping" / and "spoiler" were not used in any of the Hot Topic official e-mails, and their stated price was not $3.99, actually it should of been $7.99, but stores are honoring the $4.99 cover price, until further notice. (again too much conflicting information) f) Hot Topic stores will receive "further direction" on Monday. Ha! This is awesome. Now what the $#1T hit the fan as buyers everywhere open eBay "item not as described" claims in hopes of getting refunds from sellers.
  5. A 28, you say...? I think that's a GREAT idea!
  6. She may not be the prettiest girl at the dance, but...she's still my date (at least until I can woo a hotter girl - then she gets kicked to the curb!).
  7. Thanks for the all the kind words, everyone!
  8. Sorry, I disagree. The seller made it very clear in the listing - he actually separated that text out, centered it, and made it larger. Sure, he's trying to capitalize by asking a high price. It's not his fault buyers can't be bothered to READ.
  9. This is absurd. I just wish I could short the Hot Topic book like a stock. I'd sell them all day long @ $200 each, then buy them back to fill orders in two months when they fall back to $20. Anyone recall the Elektra 3 recalled nude variant...? Marvel can ask retailers to shred them, but that just isn't going to happen. This book will not be as rare as people think, and at the end of the day the different back cover ad is not all that interesting. Hype will die on this one with a quickness. If you have them, SELL NOW.
  10. Excellent buyer - quick payment, and a pleasure to deal with. (thumbs u
  11. Just picked up this old label beauty. Not quite pre-Robin, but...I don know where else it would go!
  12. Quick shipment, great communication, beautiful book, thanks!
  13. at issue 30! Best issue so far...? Artistically, this one has to be my favorite.
  14. The one shot. The one shot was by a fill-in artist (Tess Fowler). Tess is *NOT* the new regular artist on Rat Queens (that would be Stjepan Sejic). His first issue will be #9 (out next).
  15. BTW - don't want to bog the thread down here, but I just made a general announcement in the signature forum regarding the Mehdi Cheggour sketch opp and the CCA blank variants.
  16. quick and easy transaction - book well packed, and arrived as described. Thanks!
  17. I hadn't seen that 5B cover before - love that it's at the San Diego Convention Center!
  18. Looks like iZombie is picking up again with the news of an official air date on the TV show (to debut after The Flash).
  19. I can't get over how much whining there is over the slippers. If that's the biggest problem people have with this book, then it should be a HUGE hit. (And if anyone needs an EoSV 2 CGC 9.9, you know where to find me.
  20. That is a beautiful 3.0 with great edges. I assume it had color touch that had to be scraped off to garner a blue label with those weird scratches but wow what a pretty book. How's the back? If there are no big pieces missing I think you have the prettiest 3.0 out there. I just saw the note of tape on interior cover. Probably would have graded much higher under the old rules. Yes, looks like there was a bit of CT removal, resulting in some paper loss along the spine. Such a shame, as the book was clearly very nice without it, and certainly didn't benefit from it. Back cover is even better than the front cover - here's a scan:
