  1. Excellent page and a story similar to the reason for the art I picked up at SDCC. I will post the art once I get it paid for in couple months.

I just picked up this Thing Vs. Dr. Doom page.

I bought it because one it's a page from one of the 1st comic books I ever bought off the spinner racks at my local 7-11 as a 12 year old kid. :cloud9:

  2. Isn't the entry for a complete Bats #1 at about $20K? If so this price was right on the mark.

Probably for a Bat 1 in .5 but not .5 incomplete.

I did just notice that CGC did not say INCOMPLETE on label.

  3. Bat 1s are pure honey to me. :)

I agree. I believe if I ever upgrade I would sell off some other books beside my Bat 1 to help finance the new acquisition.

I would hoard Bat 1's if I could.

yah, especially if you can get them for $400 apiece :)

I would go $800 if I can find one with back cover attached. lol

  4. GPA shows that a trimmed Bat #1 back cover sold this month for $3703. Anyone know what venue this sale occurred in?

Just found it. Looks my mycomicshop had it.

someone was desperate for a BC.

I wonder if they'll frame it. hm

    -J.

I'd take it out of that slab lol

Just noticed this. I remember this being on eBay for over a year thinking no one will pay that since it's trimmed so bad.

What would a nice complete one go for these day?

Leave it in the slab unless it's being used on resto project, This is the one instance where slabbing actually lets you see entire comic part. Like graded ball cards.

  5. These things are expensive. I'm pleased with mine. Bottom spine split from staple down. Back cover is really nice

Sharp copy Leroy. :applause: New addition to the sign line?

Probably not. Just doesn't fit my sig line theme. Maybe I should have a Silver Age theme and rotate them? hm

  6. I used to buy from Danny Fuchs in the early days of ebay.

He always had some killer raw comics and other neat items. I would buy raw from him a lot of times as my source for CGC material.

The Hulk mug that sits on my desk in the picture below came from Danny over 10 years ago. It's part of my 18 year junk obsession. lol
