  1. If you are an ASM/McFarlane guy and don't already have this ish, ye be slackin.
  2. I would send the Wolverine books in over these Spidey books. Unless that 365 is 9.8 worthy, it would be a waste. People need to understand that comics printed from 1990-1995 were printed 5 to 10 TIMES as much as they are now. Even if you get a 9.8, they can be a tough sell because majority of collectors will already have these in their PCs and it will take a special person who just loves these hologram covers to spend top dollar to get one, especially when you can get equally nice raws for $10 or less.
  3. I’m leaning closer to 9.0. And slab away if you must but only if the tats are there!
  4. I think its closer to 9.0. Spine looks solid, just little wear to corners.
  5. I have no clue. Personally, I would put at 4.0. As for CGC, maybe they get generous at 5.0 but that would be tops. Settling in the middle at 4.5 but a darn nice copy. Generally I hate rips and stuff but this is one I would tolerate.
  6. Solid 4.5 by my books, a clean would guarantee that especially on the back. The spine and edge wear might be too much for it to hit 5.0
  7. I am also in the 7.5 camp. Might be a few too many ticks to hit 8.0 but its a solid copy!
  8. As is, around 4.0. A press and clean should get 4.5 but I fear the corner creases may be too much to hit much higher.
  9. 3.0 for me mainly due to the dullness and visible wear. Is there a big market on old Doc Savage?
  10. Definitely above a hack. A competent everyman is how I deem him. Strong early work and even later on Spec Spidey, I enjoyed those as a kid.
  11. Here, Instagram, Facebook marketplace. I have enough avenues that when I get books I want to move, I can move quickly, much quicker and efficiently and without incurring fees. I have a handful of people who buy keys and other stuff from me. If it is 50 cent or dollar bin stuff, I put together lots of 20-30 comics and sell them for $15-20 locally. Always some minor collector or people picking up stuff for their kids. I just bought a 1000 book collection and moved all but 200 books or so in a couple weeks. Ebay is too slow and too expensive for me to waste time on most of the time.
  12. Generally, I always put my price as the Buy It Now, but then encourage offers. I hope that doesn't discourage people. I recently sold a $150 ask for $80. I am usually always willing to budge. I tend to only sell keys or books I want eyes to see on ebay. Otherwise I avoid it and their fees like the plague by selling elsewhere
  13. 2.5 for me. I don't know if that spine can pull out a 3.0 but that is just me.
  14. I am at 6.0-6.5 with the wear on the cover and creaminess of the cover and pages. Nice copy!
  15. Def a 4.5, potentially a 5.0. I think the spine and leading edge crease keep it from the Fine range.
  16. I would say you could grab a handful of books on today's shelves and (provided they were put there with care) come away with a handful on 9.8s Books from the 80s and older, much harder. Even if you come across a stack of them in a collection or "warehouse find". So many variables. As someone who does not get books graded or buy graded books, the 9.8 obsession is foreign to me. But then again, so might my fascination with oddities like Diamond inserts to others. It takes all kinds for this hobby to thrive, so if ya just gotta have that 9.8, go for it!
  17. Is it possible this is legit? I would say chances are super low. To me, it reeks of a mostly junk collection with some replica books thrown in to try and make a max profit. Why cover the grades on the graded books? This is all super shady.
  18. It’s not but that’s what people hyping this new character want to believe. I guess my main point is that Harley has legit fans from day one or close to it. This propelled her. Punchline may have some fans but I moreso think it’s speculators driving the bus and not true fans of the character or stories she’s a part of.
  19. Of all the newer characters, that speculation seems stronger. I believe a lot can be done and has been done with that character already. Again it could just be the flavour of the month too but overall I feel the writing and response with that character is much stronger than with Puchline or Batman Who Laughs.
  20. Harley Quinn is a character that has always grabbed fans. Classic characters will always be the forefront. New characters are a big gamble and not one smart comic investors would waste money on. That being said if you legit love the stories, art and characters like Punchline and Batman Who Laughs then by all means, buy buy buy! But if you are thinking “hey this book is hot, maybe I will buy and cash in when a movie comics out” I think you will be disappointed
  21. With new characters you have to ask yourself will they sustain? Can it grow and be something people will gravitate towards and last? Can you keep using the character or is it something that runs its course? Do fans actually like the character? Punchline is a copycat of an existing character. Batman Who Laughs is not something you can make last for five more years. I mean I challenge them to keep that premise fresh for long.
  22. Yup Why would these books grow? Look at the first Bat weiner. That book sold like hot cakes initially and now....dead in the water. People who had to catch a glimpse got it, those who bought with hopes to get value are stuck with books they overpaid for. Granted that’s different than characters but I feel speculators are driving this and it can only last so long. These stories are nothing groundbreaking or even good. It will a fade as those who have to have it get it and interest shifts elsewhere.
  23. Anyone paying big for Punchline will be sad in 5 years when it’s worth less than ten bucks.
