  1. Does anyone else here love date stamps as much as I? To be honest, if I had the choice of a VF silver age book with a date stamp and a VF copy of the same book without, I am taking the date stamp. Something about em just adds to the nostalgia of the book for me. Post some of your favourite date stamps that you own here!
  2. Love the Hobgoblin glider! I also have one, it is one of my favs from that line!
  3. Well since I’m not selling it nor likely to have it CGCed I will just tell myself it’s not and continue being happy that I own it seems the better route to go I was just documenting it in my notes and wanted to be thorough is all
  4. I mean I don’t want to have a trimmed book as part of the collection but I didn’t pay a ton for it. Plus if it is trimmed it could serve as a good reference piece for me. But some of you are leaning towards no trim. I just thought the cleanness of those two edges compared to the others was a bit odd. Either way I appreciate all of the input so far!
  5. The edge of the front cover has some jagged spots but the back is clean.
  6. Here are some more pics. Staples are not that loose, some tears near them but I wouldn’t say I can move the cover around much... On the last page you can see how the edge at the bottom appears wider than the top. Not sure if that’s just misaligned or further trimming evidence.
  7. The pages really stuck out and there isn’t much of a spine roll or anything that would suggest this being natural. I appreciate any help. And if more pics or info is needed let me know.
  8. Hi guys, I was going back through my ASM collection and am wondering if my ASM 11 is trimmed. Let me know what else to look for.
  9. 5.0-5.5 seems right. Too nice to be VG and not quite nice enough to be Fine or better.
  10. 7.5 seems on the mark. As mentioned a bunch of small things that keep it from outright VF.
  11. Same. I picked it up 5-6 years ago now. I’ll take em all day like that cuz they present well and don’t break the bank.
  12. No odour other than the sweet smell of an older comic
  13. Yeah that’s where I had it around 5.0 I bought four years ago when the market in it wasn’t crazy. I was looking at prices lately and man they are high!
  14. 9.0-9.2 Couple spine ticks and spine corners lightly worn.
  15. I think people here are light. Couple spine ticks and some corner wear along spine but I think 8.5 and possibly even 9.0 are on the table. Press for sure to see if it gets there.
  16. I’m a tad harsher mainly because of that small but noticeable corner crease. Thinking 7.0-7.5
  17. Presents nice. There is some foxing on the back cover along spine. Interior of the book is unaffected. Also the bottom edge is slightly ripples which suggest moisture but there’s no staining visible... All thought appreciated!
  18. Check inside too. Mine had a nice MJ insert surprise
  19. I can’t wait to see what’s ahead for Spidey! Love the Kraven story, that would be something I would love to see although my worries would be whether or not they pull it off. So far the whole Spidey movie thing has not fared well when trying to handle major moments in his life (like the death of Gwen). Different universe yes, but I hope the MCU does it right if they do tackle it. As for a book grade, 7.5-8.0 as it sits.
  20. Maybe I’ll do a top 50 comics based on like keys or whatever since that seems to be what people are posting. Their best or most valuable stuff in terms of key issues or appearances or covers. Then I’ll do a second top 50 of books I like and think are unique and really make my collection mine.
