  1. Little spine wear, little discolouring it seems to the white on the back. Press might help. I am around 7.5, might press and clean to an 8.0-8.5
  2. Dunno if it’s been posted but I’m sure other places are doing this. Since Easter is a little weirder for the little ones this year, people in my city have decorated their doors and front windows with eggs and homemade decorations. That way this week and on the weekend families can go for a drive and spot all the eggs.
  3. Thanks guys! I didn’t know if the wrap could kick it down to 7.0. I figured without the error it was around 8.5 so that seems sensible. Again just for me notes as I attempt to grade and notate all my books! Sounds daunting but it’s enjoyable:)
  4. Funky wrap on this one. Wondering how much CGC would hit such a thing. Thanks!
  5. I can see 6.5-7.0. The spine is a worn but it presents so nicely.
  6. Little known fact...Action Comics 1 is the first book to reference this pressing method. In fact, just off panel, there is a comic book that Superman is about to toss that car on. It’s listed as one of Supermans 3245 abilities...pressing vintage comics.
  7. Maybe it’s the quarantine talking but I wonder if anyone has ever tried to get a date stamp for every month of a particular year or even run of years....maybe I should! Crazy? Likely. Anyways another one!
  8. No wonder mine did not work...I was using a Honda. Clearly, a Chev is required. I won't make that mistake again.
  9. Thanks for sharing that! Makes me feel much better about mine!
  10. Really? I feel like newer collectors for the most part see a stamp and think yuck that’s ugly why is that on there...to each their own. I would have paid for em but I’m an anomaly and also not a high flying buyer. But if I were, date stamps would be my go to!
  11. Yeah but the guy was interested in people posting stuff that people were willing to let go. I mean I can amalgamate mine into to but I ain’t willing to sell mine! Oh and here’s another!
  12. Sure it’s been done before...but some of those were hand stamps now only, one was asking for date stamp books people had for sale. This here is specifically for dates! Handwritten, stamped or otherwise! Another one from the PC. Sometimes I feel like every other book I own had a stamp...and I love it!
  13. I thought so too because if it were loose I feel like I could wiggle the cover or book and make the visible pages disappear but I cannot.
  14. Because of the letters being cut off? Hmmm I suppose it is possible although I swear I have seen other copies like this and have always chalked it up to printing error...like a miscut. There isn’t anything else I can see suggesting trimming.
  15. 4.5-5.0 but he spine split is the unfortunate killer here. Still it’s a great 4.5 if that’s where it lands.
  16. I also like books that are clearly aged but still look good and are strong structurally. Like read and loved but cared for so it lasts ya know. I appreciate high graded stuff and the fact it exists always amazes me but I moreso appreciate a book with character that still looks good for it’s age.
  17. Ahhh gotcha well my opinion still stands. Love date/store stamps, dislike scribbles from someone trying to make their own work back in the day and I don’t mind foxing.
  18. Damn that presents so well. That sun shading or fading on the back sucks but it really only hurts the back which I’d be more than fine with 6.0-6.5. Maybe a 7.0 but I haven’t seen enough graded GA stuff to confirm if a book with that much sun shade/fade can grade that high.
  19. This one is weirder. I assume it was meant to be January 25
  20. I hate pen scribbles and love date stamps, store stamps and the like so for me, Copy B is the nicer to look at. Although I will be completely honest in saying I dont get why anyone would want to display this comic. Maybe personally, sure you can enjoy it, but for others this is definitely one of the most boring covers of all time so the idea of taking time to display it just seems odd to me. But if you are an optometrist with a penchant for the aharoni font style then go for it!
  21. At best, you have a good story to read. At worst, it can be the first thing you resort to when you run outta TP.
