  1. 6.5-7.0 mainly for the wear on spine near staples.
  2. CGC can tell if it was original or not. If you retaped a MVS you cut out as a kid, it would match. Unlikely someone can make that work buy buying another stamp. There's a difference between taping something that was ripped out of the book and adding a page, piece or stamp from another book and taping it in. I would consider this some form of restoration and would expect purple label. If you are just a collector who wants the complete book, that is fine. I would do the same if I had a Hulk 181 missing a stamp. I would get a cheap Man Thing and put one in for myself. Or if a book was missing a page, I might try to secure the page from a coverless copy. Or marry a cover if possible. But I wouldn't be sending these in to grade...more so just for me as a collector.
  3. Thanks @Get Marwood & I You are most knowledgeable! I have been to that site before. I figured if anyone knew more info on the switch back for these Inhumans issues or the bubble 25 cent it would be you!
  4. I appreciate that but I stil wanna complete my regular ASM run before I dive into this rabbit hole:)
  5. Also I chuckle at people paying $20 or so for the stamp when you can pay $10 or less for a Man Thing 13 and cut it out yourself.
  6. It’s guaranteed to get a blue label? I’m at a 5.0-5.5 qualified. If you tale it in and get a blue label, at worse I would say 4.5. And I mean I think people would pay more... If the MVS taped in guarantees taking a book from purple to blue, why aren’t people mass buying copies of Man Thing 13 which has the same stamp in it, and then making some money!? I personally don’t think a Marvel Value stamp taped into any comic should make the comic complete and a blue label especially since it’s not guaranteed to come from the same comic as a number of stamps appeared in a couple issues. Does a married cover that clearly doesn’t match the staples on a covered book make it a blue label?
  7. These covers are a wild mix of original stuff and images from other books. Like Mandroid copies directly from cover of Ms Marvel 18 and other images from other Spidey books. Crazy! Wish I could afford em!
  8. Issue 6 ask had that big round 25 cents in a white circle. If memory serves me I have an ASM issue with that same one off price image and I think an Avengers issue. Always thought it looked weird and wondered if anyone knew a reason for it. Here is the ish for reference... Even though this ish has the same weird 25 cent circle, preceding issues just have the “still only 25 cents” price. There is no 30 cent then back down to 25 then back up to 30 like for the Inhumans.
  9. I was looking through my Inhumans run and noticed that issue 5 has a 30 cent cover (not considered a variant as that is the price on all) and then issue 6 is back to 25 cents. Was issue 5 the mass test to see the 30 cent response? Did other titles have similar issues like this? I just thought it was odd is all.....
  10. Well then, I think you are shredding it down to a 1.8 at least, possibly a 1.5. Granted, I dunno what the UK variant goes for. I get its rarer but for me, if I am gonna drop $5-7K on a mess copy of FF1, it had better have that nice 10 cent bubble on it!
  11. Um so even if you scrape off the writing (if that is the colour touch CGC is referencing), wouldn't it still get restored grade with the tear seals all along the leading edge and spine??
  12. Most major flaw is the wrinkle marks on spine. All thoughts appreciated!
  13. ^ That seems sensible. Need to see the rest of that cover...for all we know someone has drawn a mustache on DD's face. I agree that 3.5-4.0 seems best case with the wear we can see. For reference, CGC 3.5's sell for $1100-1500 depending on the day, an dhow they present. Yours will be less (likely) since it is graded and possibly much less if the condition is rougher.
  14. I think they might hit it hard with that spine ding...appears more like a tear on the back. 7.5 ish floats my boat
  15. Sharp! The back cover edges look like they are starting to get the faintest tinge of brown. Still, I feel 8.5-9.0 is appropriate....potentially even a smidge higher
  16. I also like the 3.0-3.5 range. Too many creases and large ones I feel for it to be 4.0 but ya never know. Its a damn solid presenting 3.0-3.5 though.
  17. Solid book. That corner could kill it but as is, I am feeling 8.5-9.0
  18. Sounds like you got yourself a jerk. If he doesn't like them, have him return em. If he's trying to get them for cheaper, he is a jerk and all I can say is good luck fighting with ebay over it. Be interesting to see where they stand. As for this happening, the staples would have to be very loose and the book extremely shaken around (and loose in the case to begin with) for this to likely happen. I cannot attest to it personally but I am sure it is possible. Like I said, would require a tremendous amount of shaking during travel.
  19. Probably because I lean towards Golden Earring... “We’ve got a thing that’s called date stamp lovvvee We’ve got stamps everywhere...date stamp love” (Bass guitar)
  20. 6.0. I think it might be a stretch for 6.5 or better.
  21. I could see 6.0 easy on this. Solid book!
