  1. I also think this is capable of a 5.0-5.5. Doubt it hits Fine outright. If it does, you should be very happy. But I definitely think it is nicer than a 4.0. Recent sales on 5.0 have been climbing. $1278, $1614, $1766 and $2018. Yowza! To think I sold a collection about 6-7 years ago and sold this ish, in similar condition, for like $400. Grrrrrrr.
  2. Looks similar to my copy...(runs down to check...confirms its still there...) Light wear to back cover, tiny corner creases. Is that a scrape mark on Spidey's leg that is on the comic or from the scan? I am feeling something in the 7.0-7.5 range with the accumulation of these minor defects.
  3. Yes please post pics when it is regraded and the sigs are complete! This series started me into collecting vintage comics when I was 10 or so back in the late 90's, early 2000s. Love that series.
  4. I will also say 8.5-9.0. Mainly that crease mark along spine is what is hurting it, plus corner wear.
  5. I have no clue how CGC actually decides. I have seen qualified grades and unqualified grades. You can have it removed though, although I am unsure what people charge for it. I have a FF book with the exact same sticker price, 2 for 88 cents. Although I feel like my sticker is red. I always find stickers cool as long as they are in a semi unobtrusive spot, like yours. Adds a unique history to the book, like a date stamp.
  6. Awesome book and one I am hoping to check off someday.. Provided that bottom staple is just showing a tear and not detached, I will say 5.0-5.5. I do think 5.5 is a possibility.
  7. Sounds like you need to check out the new Far From Home Trailer it should answer your main question. As for Endgame, a few things that bugged me: 1. I hate time travel. Rarely is it explained in a way that makes sense and this movie is no exception. Too many plot holes and problems. Too many random things left hanging. It’s not enough to ruin the movie for me but it still annoys me. If someone wants to take the time to explain this to me I’m all ears. 2. Black Widows death also was a nothing moment for me. My thought was that to get the soul stone you needed to exchange the soul of someone you you cared for the most (did I misremember what was explained to Thanos in Infinity War?). So Black Widow just sacrificing herself didn’t make sense unless it was literally just exchanging any soul. If so why didn’t Thanos take any lackey and chuck them into the void in exchange for the gem. 3. Thor. I hate him as a character now. Maybe others like him but ever since they made him a hunourous goofball in Ragnarok I have hated his character. I get that they went the high fantasy route and failed with Dark World but I just think that is more his style, not this joking Guardians of Galaxy style character he has become annoys me. 4. The characters that came back after Hulk snapped all seemed to remember what happened. Do they just appear back in the world and readjust to the current world? Or is the world still in shambles just everyone is back now? When Ant Man or whoever looks outside it looks nice outside. It’s all very confusing.....
  8. Yeah from what I can see, a press is unlikely to do much here as most of the "flaws" are not something a press can help
  9. I am in the 7.5-8.0 range. Not sure if a cleaning would help that back cover or not as I have zero experience with cleaning and how much it can brighten up a back cover.
  10. Looks like heavier tanning to cover edges and pages. For me, in the 5.0-5.5 range. Top staple also looks like its barely hanging on.
  11. If it comes back less than a 9.4 I would be upset. 9.4-9.6 for me. The slight spine miswrap and slight bend to the top edge of the back cover knock it down from 9.8 range.
  12. Wow some major improvements here. I am wondering if there are any pictures of befores and afters? I don't get how a book can go from a mid grade to a 9.0 or better.
  13. I have no problem with speculators and books becoming hot because of TV show, movies, etc. It adds to the thrill of the hunt, finding a once cheap book still cheap in a bin that you can now get $15-30 for. Heck, sometimes I flip said books because a lot of the time they are newer and I don't care as much about them. I would rather make $25 in profit and put that towards something I actually want. That being said, I don't chase or try to speculate. I find I am not "connected" enough to get the news soon enough nor do I care enough to do so. But I do follow a couple select Youtube channels for the purpose of educating and knowing what the community thinks is hot so I don't miss out on the possibility of turning something previously worth cover price into a little extra coin for a desired book. For example, I bought Carnage USA #1 a couple years ago for $2. Just because. Did not love the issue, so it sat in my bins for the past 5 years or so. Now, it can sell for $25-30. So I sold it. Figure I would rather have some money and knock off an ASM issue I am missing instead:)
  14. Thanks for the advice! I think it is worth spending a bit on it. I agree with a lot of you, those colour breaking creases are gonna hurt it. Still, I would be happy with a 5.0.
  15. Personally, I do not give a flying rhino about a 9.6 versus a 9.8. To me, the value in that book is the collection of signatures. You have an opportunity to own a one of a kind piece. Whether it is 9.8 or 9.6 is trivial because, in either grade, I doubt there is another. I would do it because it would still be the coolest copy of that issue in existence IMO.
  16. I agree, the image quality is not the best but even with that, I see this capable of 8.5-9.0 territory. Cover is gorgeous. Depends on how off-white and tan the back cover is though. I am comparing with a 9.0 on Ebay though and yours looks very similar (slight wear to spine in spots but doesn't really destroy the great black background).
  17. Hard to tell with only two pics and it being in the bag There appears to be yellow staining or ink on the back above the cab of the bulldozer. Also, appears to be a couple spine ticks. I am saying 8.0-8.5 conservatively until I see closer pics, sorry.
  18. I will also say 4.0-4.5. Leaning closer to the 4.0 though because of the piece missing.
  19. I got the books. I posted pics in the Hey Buddy Can Ya Spare A Grade forum... https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/450849-pgm-hulk-180/
  20. It would help to see the back but at very least I think a 6.5-7.0 is obtainable. Pressing could make it a bit higher. This book is climbing in value so I think grading it now is a good choice both as an investment and to keep it looking good and protected.
  21. Hard to tell if on the back cover above that target, there is some wear. Looks like it when I zoom but could be splatter from the image. Minor corner wear along spine has me at a 9.2-9.4
  22. The tanning and accumulation of minor defects has me at a 6.0-6.5
  23. Mold is typically white, black or grey on paper. It can flake off the paper too. A stain is in the paper and doesn't come off. The fact that is brown leads me towards a stain, but then you have some black specks. If those can be flaked off in any way, it is mold. No idea if its a good or bad or spreadable kind but I agree on getting rid of it. Plus, mold stinks. Like worse than old paper. And while you can definitely get really sick, light exposure typically just hurts the nose and eyes. I had a book like that, have me a headache. I turfed it.
