  1. Looks 9.4-9.6 for me. Super clean. If you ever sell, keep me in mind
  2. 9.4 for me, mainly because of the top and bottom of the spine being dinged the way they are.
  3. I like that. Printing defects sound so negative. Traits is much nicer. I have many a book with the good ole printer's crease trait
  4. CGC does not recognize this collection as pedigree, based on responses from 2005 seen here It is an actual collection from which books were sold from but if you were to have it graded by CGC, they would not put that on the label and would grade based on what their graders determine, not the fact that you have a certificate showing it as a 9.4
  5. I say 3.0. Such a nice comic otherwise. I would buy comics in this condition from this era all day long if they looked this nice but had holes in them. It's a shame sure, but the liklihood of finding a copy as nice without is unlikely for some of these GA books.
  6. Maybe I am too harsh but that spine looks a little rougher than it should for a 7.0. Ditto for the tanning to the BC. I think 6.0-6.5 is more likely, personally.
  7. The spine and what appears to be a sun or dust shadow along the bottom edge of the FC, top edge wear and corner wear has me at 4.5. Presents nice just a lot of little things. If the spine were a little sharper I think Fine would be an easy grade to achieve but sadly, doesnt seem to be the case.
  8. Yeah I would call it fraying. As for the overhang...overhang?
  9. Would not have paid over $550 for that book raw personally. That being said, jealous you own one because I doubt I ever will now
  10. There is speculation and investing in a sure thing. Modern books are tricky. I am a huge Spidey fan but have not read a Spidey comic that has come out in the past 20 years. Why? It is all rehash of older original material, in some way. Granted, there are a few newer storylines that are interesting but not as much as Silver or Bronze Age Spider-Man for me. Red Goblin, to me, looked absolutely hideous. Poorly drawn, ugly covers. As a collector, I have zero desire for that book. Maybe some day, he appears in a show or movie ans we see his first appearance bump up a bit, sure. That is commonplace now with comics. But if you want to put money somewhere smarter, invest in original characters. Like Green Goblin of Hobgoblin. Both are great characters, albeit one is an offshoot of the other, but was done very well. They will always be collectible and stand a better chance of being more valuable. More of a sure thing. Another thing to consider is do people care? When Red Goblin first came out, yes people bought that book. But I feel now nobody cares about him because it was a ho hum character in a ho hum story. What people do care about is something like Immortal Hulk. Every issues of that arc has been great, artwork is also very very good. It is a series that has staying power because it is well done and because it could also someday be adapted to the silver/small screen. More of a sure thing there as well. But hey, if you love Red Goblin and believe in it, go for it. You could be the guy 20-25 years from now with 100 copies all worth $100-200 bucks each and be laughing. You could also be the guy with 100 copies worth maybe $200 bucks total. Invest in sure things, not speculation unless you are prepared to have some misses when speculating.
  11. I also think 6.0 is not out of the question. Presents very nicely.
  12. 5.5-6.0. The staining is not the worst I have seen, so I think it has a shot at outright Fine
  13. I am also around a 7.0. I think some of the tanning to the back cover drops it to this range.
  14. I like to give a slight range to be safe, so I will say 4.0-4.5
  15. Looks nice, little wear to top edges of spine. I would say 9.2-9.4 personally
  16. Printing error for sure. This is something I have yet to figure out in terms of how it affects a grade. Just from looking at some other 9.8s online, there appear to be some with the similar marking (although the photographs of some peoples pics on ebay are not the greatest). So my guess would be that it would not affect the grade.
  17. It was kinda braggy wasnt it? Last round got to my head....
  18. Is it just me or are the books getting harder to grade?! Gonna have to pour over me personal bible to see if I can get another perfect round.
  19. I was feeling good about last round. Let’s see if I can keep the momentum going!
  20. I am the same way. Doesn't mean I don't like to grade my own books or peruse other people's slabbed beauties. Or just converse with comic lovers because where I live, there are not too many
  21. If it is a UK copy, I think it depends on personal preference. Some people do not care one bit if their copy is a UK copy. Others do, myself included. I just want to see 10, 15 and 20 cents on my comics but again, I am just one of many collectors.
  22. I will second a 1.0. Definitely a 1.0 I would want though as it is all there just really worn. I like that there is no tape and no large chunks missing
  23. I will second a 3.5 as that was my first instinct because of the amount of heavy creasing to the top edge. If there were less or they were not as prominent (and if that top staple looked nicer), I think you would be VG/VG+ easily.
  24. I am at a 7.0 because of the small corner creases. Nice sigs! I always prefer signatures on the inside. Does not ruin the cover plus, stuff I buy is for me and I don't feel the need to show of a signature. Would rather it be inside like that out of the way and there for me to know rather than scrawled over a nice cover.
  25. I will also say 9.0 for at least issue 1. Would help to see the back though. The other two issues are harder to see but also look high VF to low NM copies.
