  1. People have gotten actors to sign their books and gotten yellow labels. CGC holds signing events for actors. So I'd imagine you could. Wouldn't hurt to post this under 'Ask CGC'
  2. Flash 294-296 https://www.ebay.com/itm/364221391163 DC Comics Presents 1 & 2 https://www.ebay.com/itm/325619840312 Flash 300 & 324 (Death Reverse Flash) https://www.ebay.com/itm/325619865163 Flash 277-280 https://www.ebay.com/itm/364221252926
  3. Covrprice.com, gocollect.com. also have some free services
  4. I'd imagine he's talking about a press & clean. In any event , fees can be seen here: https://www.cgccomics.com/submit/services-fees/cgc-grading/ DOn't forget to figure in shipping fees both ways plus CGC fees to figur eout if it's worth it.
  5. https://www.ebay.com/itm/325537285385 https://www.ebay.com/itm/325537297846
  6. The FMV is more of an insurance value should something happen to your comic while CGC has it. You can put some pics up in the "Buddy can u spare a grade" forum to get estimates of the condition. (Read the forum rules) From there you can use Ebay or other websites to get an idea of values for those estimates. Some people pick a value associated with a graded copy and some for a raw value. Whatever you are comfortable with. The FMV also affects your turnaround time.
  7. Grader notes, if supplied, are now free. https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/
  8. picked this up inthe back issue bins back in the day during one of my weekly hunts for Adams issues. Last pic is just to show there the top front cover rightmost edge color difference ; there's a piece of paper behind the cover to separate it front the interior pages Back cover has 2 tears by URC, one is 1" long ; the other is 1/4 " long (see next to last pic) thanks
  9. I can't answer any question regarding replacement/replica covers, but probably an important point to mention is 'what are your goals'? IE personal collection and just wanting it to present nice vs looking to sell and maximize profit etc That may help get some responses with other posters. There is a thing called 'married covers' where you find another WW 41 (eg maybe an issue with missing interior pages) and use the cover from that for your book (you can just search here for 'married covers' and you gets get plenty of info)
  10. My Octopus Teacher A 90 minute Academy Award winning show which is something of a mix between a nature documentary and a story of a burned out filmmaker who rejuvenates himself from daily dives he starts taking off the coast where he encounters a small octopus. Not the most compelling description but a mesmerizing show well worth a watch.
  11. After a handful of years streaming, the 1st season of Dark is my favorite. It's one of those shows which requires you to pay attention though. I watched it with the dubbing. I will say I think the voice acting wasn't the best so you may want to consider using the subtitles with the original voice track
  12. CGC will reholder them for you and also cover shipping. Contact their customer service.
  13. CGC has said before, and on these boards, that they won't reimburse you if you select to high a tier. However if you to pay for a faster turnaround time then that's your choice. May just be a bug in the status. I'd say u should either use the Ask Cgc forum or call their customer service
  14. To move this away from grading considerations - my 1st mistake was as a kid when I realized I didn't have enough space in my room to store everything and threw away some of them
  15. I started in the late 70's thru about 1990. Would ride my bike up to the shop once or twice a week. Always had a decent crowd but never swamped to the point where I was worried about them being out of stock. Back then I had no clue about 1st or 2nd printings. Just picked up the front ones in each pile and rode the bike back home with them bouncing in the plastic bag. A few more:
  16. .for the most part, I just read these once and then bagged them where the sat for 30+ some years.
  17. Hi and welcome. Based on the work you already did, I'd say go to the "Buddy Can You Spare a Grade" forum, read the sticky post there, and make posts for the ones you think have the most value. Forum rules are only 3 posts per day (at least the last time I looked). You'll get opinions of the condition based on the quality of the images you upload. That will give you an idea of value to make slabbing decisions. You can see values per grade on sites like Ebay (sold listings), goCollect, Covrprice. There's also subscription sites like GPA analysis (goCollect is part free & part subscription). You can even make free accounts at the auction sites (ComicLink/Heritage/Comic Connect) to track auction results. I'd also say to take a look at MyComicShop.com As far as the ones which you think are in the under $200 range, you'd have to figure out the total cost to slab (shipping, insurance, packing supplies, turnaround time etc) versus selling them raw (ie unslabbed) - and how much effort you're willing to put in to sellng them. Ebay will require the most individual effort. Many here use MyComicShop - there's at thread around here somewhere about people's experiences using them. You can also sell here on the boards - there's sticky posts in the selling forums about how to use them. Though it may help to establish an 'online presence' first. There's also a "Want to Buy' section where you may find posters asking for comics you have I've been slowly selling my raw comics on Ebay for the last 2 years and have done a few sales on the boards here. I don't mind the effort and find it an enjoyable hobby. You also may want to look into getting fresh bags if the current ones are yellowed. Also - look into finding a used copy of the Overstreet Grading Guide on Ebay if your'e interested in honing your grading skills. Feel free to tell us your gems (pics too!) We love that stuff!
  18. What I posted wasn't remotely close to an accusation. An accusation is a declarative statement. I posted a conjecture giving a possible reason as to why you received no responses. This is a medium where being able to properly interpret written word is crucial. Now what. you posted was an actual accusation. Perhaps you realize the irony. There is a sticky thread entitled 'How to pack your books for shipping' at the top of the very forum you posted to. It has been viewed 388,000 times. There's also a sticky thread entitled 'Welcome to the boards. New member please introduce yourself' Skipping these while making an initial post referencing a website selling something concerning hipping makes it easy to understand why that conjecture was made. and as Shadrock said - there's nothing wrong with self promotion. Posters here do it and are up front about it. -
  19. With these bring your only posts, people may be thinking your just promoting your own website
  20. If you submit them for pressing and cleaning then they will go to CCS then CGC then back to you.
  21. I really enjoyed season 1. I thought season 2 was a disappointment. Huge NTT fan from the days I bought them at my LCS
  22. He already posted CGC's policy with regard to Qualified designation & unverfied signatures. CGC's signature service is only when an authorized representative witnesses the signature
  23. I enjoyed it - wouldn't call it great. The stink of that god awful Lions Gate Man Thing film should now be permanently washed away.
