  1. very strong price for a restored, nice as it is.
  2. I'm still young. At least, I feel young. is 49 young?
  3. Giant THB 1.V.2. by Pail Pope. Technically an FVF, but solely due to a crease in the upper right FC. Otherwise a solid copy of an extremely tough book. (yeah, yeah, I know it's Cooper age, so sue me. There are 2 copies on eBay: a stated VFNM for $150, and a stated VG for $94 (which looks much better) Take this copy for $50.
  4. Nexus 2 in VG/F. The book presents very nicely, however there's a 1" area of moisture damage that goes through the first few pages on the right edge, and a bit of dirt on the cover. Take it free with Nexus 1, or for $10 by itself.
  5. Nexus 1, VF. Similarly to the Cerebus above, there are obviously press-able flaws that could bring the book up in grade. In this case it's NBC bend in the lower corner that goes through the book. (the rubbing by the BC spine would still hold it down to a VFNM) This might be the last cool '80s BW book* to not explode in value; copies have been hoovered up off of eBay lately. The last copy for sale on the 'Bay is a raw VF- for $125. Take this copy for $100, and I'll throw in a free copy of #2 in fine condition. *side note, if you have not read the series, it's one of the best I've read over the last few decades.
  6. Cerebus 1 counterfeit, a bunch of non-color breaking stuff brings it to about a VF, though this book would definitely benefit greatly with a press, should one be so inclined. There have been 2 sales this year, a CGC 9.2 for $900 last March, and a raw Fine on eBay from July that IIRC sold for $750 (I am unaware of how to definitively find best offer prices, so am just going by memory.) Take this copy for $800.
  7. Just a couple of raw magazines FS. • No HoS • Paypal only • USPS shipping at cost • returns accepted at buyer's cost
  8. https://geekycraze.com/alice-waddngton-to-direct-adaptation-of-dark-horse-dept-h-deadline/ Looks like Netflix is really jumping on a bunch of these Dark Horse series.
  9. This is about right. I'd go further and suggest that unless you have a collection of CGC-graded books to compare your raw grading ability to, you may be unhappily surprised at how accurate your assessments are. I went through the above process with my books, and ended up slabbing things one wouldn't normally expect to, based on realized prices. (and it paid off, but I was very patient)
  10. And added to my growing Love & Rockets stash. These have been very hard to find.
  11. Finished off my B&W Grendel run, and snagged a Mage 6 while I was at it.
  12. Of the stuff I track (basically just what I own at this point), I have noticed that the previously nuclear hot mid-low grade Marvel keys have definitely plateaued if not dropped in price a bit. Meanwhile mid-low* grade non-key** GA superhero books are picking up quickly (Superman specifically, but I assume this holds true for all GA superhero books). Lots of prices doubling from the last sale seemingly out of nowhere. And all movie and TV related stuff continues to be fire. * High grade GA books are on fire thanks to the Promise collection ** Key GA books are always increasing anyway
  13. Boy, I wish this had been posted before I spent $2100 on my 7.0....
  14. I remember having to go to show after show to hunt down every little book I needed to complete a dozen runs, from Miller Daredevils to Cerebus. Condition was irrelevant for a lot of it. Truly the thrill of the hunt! These days, I barely see the point in going to shows. It's just a different hobby. I prefer reading TPBs and not bothering with single issues anymore.
  15. With a nice 4.0 on Heritage this week, maybe I'll just start collecting 48's.
  16. A rare update to this thread! Seems I am still in the business of upgrading some of these. Thanks to @Point Five for surrendering this copy to me.
  17. Yeah. 2 and 3 are worth slabbing, but the others are meh.
  18. I literally threw out a dozen longboxes of 80s and 90s drek I assumed would never be worth anything.
