  1. Nice copy of a tough book for a good price. If I didn't have one, I'd grab it fast.
  2. As a bidder I know I hate it. It's confusing to have different rules for different books in the same auction.
  3. Howabout: I collect cheap books. I invest in a collection of pricey ones?
  4. Obviously one could be both. I would say that if the amount of money you have into comics is financially meaningless to you, then you're a collector. Otherwise, an investor.
  5. Yeah, all at once. I want to send them off with a bang.
  6. It's high, but the question becomes "will my books do 10% better on HA than Comicconnect (who would chanrge 10%, IIRC)? to which I think the answer is "yes"?
  7. FWIW they offered to waive the seller's fee for me, but not the 20% buyer's fee. (I'm selling Action 15-63, slabbed)
  8. Yeah, it was always the plan to sell them when my daughter went to college.
  9. It's pretty obvious what I'm consigning, as it's basically all I own.
  10. Well if that's the case then the choice is simple.
  11. thanks for the response: as for the 10%, I assume that's on top of the 20% buyer's premium? (in which case, in total, that's the 30% I am referring to)
  12. After 15 years on here I feel like I should know this answer, but which is the best (most profitable) venue for auctioning GA books these days, Heritage vs. Comic Connect vs. Clink vs. eBay? I know Heritage typically has the highest sale prices, but they also seem to take the highest % in fees.
  13. I highly doubt he has more copies (aside from I guess a few for himself), as he appears to have come upon some hard times the last few years, and would likely have sold them?
  14. It's one of a kind, and that cover is an all-time classic. 1st prints pop up once in a while on eBay, but it's definitely scarce.
  15. Albedo 2 in 7.5 last sold for $5160. had been going for more for at least 5 years or so, IIRC. Over the very long haul, it was less expensive than Cerebus 1 up until perhaps 5 years ago, then overtook it, now is back lower.
  16. Cerebus 1 in 7.5 and 8.5 is going for more than Albedo in the equivalent grades. Not sure what the last Cerebus 1 9.0 sold for, but IIRC it was through the boards and higher than the Albedo 9.0 @ 10,450
  17. In context: a CGC 9.0 counterfeit just auctioned for $365 or something, and a board-owned CGC 8.0 (non-counterfeit) has been unable to sell through multiple venues for $5k.
  18. I picked it up for the Zritt cover (and the hype). Good start. Will definitely get the TPB when they release one to see where it goes.
