  1. Dave can no longer draw (though he's been doing new artwork for the Cerebus special edition reprints, so maybe that's not entitely correct) so he's recutting old cerebus artwork and doing 1-shot parody things with new dialog. No gerhard involvement. I don't have any, so cannot comment as to thier quality.
  2. If you want to dig into rare comics, there are so, so many being published these days with print runs under 2000. I think the new Cerebus issues print under 1,000, for an easy one to point out, but there are a multitude of really rare indy comics, some of which have become long-running and popular.
  3. I don't think 1980s indy book print runs in generally are well-known?
  4. I've never seen official numbers. It's low, but not ridiculously low like early Albedo and Cerebus 1; I've seen 5 copies for sale over the last year, the most recent being a VG that went for $250 or so on eBay. There are only 52 copies on the census, fwiw, which is just half of the 1st series #1 (it was a fully black and white self-published thing. The Hernandez bros. sold a ton of them directly from their website a few years back, all in mint condition, so they are very common in HG)
  5. Looks like this has been an ongoing issue for years with some accounts: https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Very-High-Not-as-Described-5-fee/td-p/31076150
  6. It's part 5 of the 6-part story, but released as a 1-shot. So yes and no?
  7. Batman commission by Ian Bertram, courtesy of Felix. Love it! Headed to my wall.
  8. I'm 50 years old. I ain't got time for no long-term speculation.
  9. I think it's been SEVEN years since the last issue of Cursed Pirate Girl, but there's a new issue out- and Jeremy has upped his game yet again. The artwork is sublime.
  10. Thanks! I'm not starting from scratch; still have a dozen or so GA Supermans, scattered Marvel SA stuff, and some copper indy things.
  11. That's just ludicrous. At some point they should just stop accepting new books.
  12. So when the heck did Cerebus OA pages go from $1k> $5K???? seems like all at once, across multiple auctions.
  13. Get an ASM 252 then call it a day, if that's your guy. Awesome book. I don't even like spidey, and I want one.
  14. I have had tape removed by CCS without the book being damaged or restored, and the book looking pristine afterwards. Your results may vary however.
  15. This turned out to be a thought-provoking thread, as I am actually looking to start a new collection "from scratch"... right now leaning towards a box of raw mid-grade Marvel SA books. Figuring $20 average a pop would get me a nice collection, $1k all-in...
  16. Nope. The contract said April 7-9 Signature, but they indicated to me it was better to split up the books across a few auctions, which I realize is contrary to what others have thought would be best (as well as what I intended).
  17. Just selling the Actions. I doubt I'd ever sell my Supermans. I have a dozen or so between 12-53. Also a smattering of Batmans. Maybe I'll get a few more.
