I love it when a seller gives you all the information, but spins it in such a way as to make it seem better. Heck, we all do what we can to make the books desirable, and as long as all the info is there, what's the harm? Here's one I found today that I liked:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=723975011
My favorite part (other than the title where he gives book value in NM) "The grade of this book (sans water stain) is FN (6.0)!" Wonder what the grade would be without any of the flaws? Why stop at one? And just to confuse things, use a little French in case some people think 'sans' means 'with'.

It's worse when someone wants to buy a book off you
"Your book is garbage, nobody wants it, you might as well throw it out...the best I can offer you is 10k"

But then I guess it would have to be a dealer or a set price instead of an auction, which may mean tire kickers asking best offer
And a bunch ringy dingy to see what he'd take...
Some sort of raffle

Sacrifices were made. I have no regrets. I figured it was now or never for me on this book. Detached cover, yes. Chipping, yes sir. Mine? YES! Obviously everyone has seen this copy. I’m proud to finally own the one SA book I really thought that I’d never get. The weight has been lifted.......

Did we ever get confirmation on the $7400 sale?
I'm not sure.
What I do know is someone offered me 5% handling fees to sell, but I don't think so, not now at least

Would you risk taking it out of the slab, or would you leave as is?

That book is exactly where it belongs

This is on eBay with a blue label - should it not be green? Or can you take a grade hit and request blue?
Man, wonder what it would have graded green

Keep in mind what MCU rumors did to many books. For instance, Warlock rumors popped related keys, which never really "corrected" even after the rumors never materialized.
If we do get a correction here, I think it's foolish to assume that we'll see a return to pre-bubble prices. Rather, modest drops in price seem quite possible to me.
I'm always thinking about Thor 165
Seen a 9.2 on Clink with buddy asking over 4k for it......yikes

Before the bubble people referred to a book that was going to 'pop' meant it was going to go up in value, even this bubble is changing the way we communicate

Why does it have to 'pop'? Many valuable assets don't pop, they just settle down in a trading range above the level before they stated their last climb
I'd think 'keys' would do this. Random spec books solely due to MCU may be a different story
