  1. First up is the Gold Key lot Lot includes issues 1,2,4-10, & 12-23 (missing 3 & 11 for complete run) Also includes a low grade Whitman 22. Asking $75 shipped for the lot. 22 books in total. (less than $3.50 per book including shipping) Most of the grades are based on general wear. This would make a really nice & fun reading for someone IMHO. A couple do have popped staples and one has some water damage. Those have been downgraded accordingly. I think I'm going to put my descriptions first and then post the scans. Hopefully that won't be too confusing. Underdog #1 - 4.5 - Looks higher grade on front cover, but creasing on back brings grade down. Off-white to cream pages. Front cover: General surface wear. Back cover: 4” crease breaks color in spots (upper left corner), 3” color breaking crease (middle right near the spine). Underdog #2 - 4.5 - Off-white to cream pages. Front cover: odd triangular scratch (upper right corner), color breaking crease (going through Underdog’s ear), stress marks along spine, small 1/16” tear (lower middle). Back cover: slight soiling/staining in spots. Underdog #4 - 5.0 - Off-white to cream pages. Front cover: slight color breaking thumb crease (upper right corner), small corner bend (upper right corner), small corner bend (lower right corner), stress marks along spine. Back cover: no major problems. Underdog #5 - 4.5/5.0 - Off-white to cream pages. Front cover: vertical crease with 3/8” tear (right open edge near reverend’s back), stress marks along spine. Back cover: light area of soiling/moisture (lower right corner), slight crease (upper left corner). Top prong of top staple no longer attached to centerfold. The bottom prong of staple is still secure as well as the bottom staple. Underdog #6 - 5.0 - Off-white pages. Front cover: color breaking corner crease (lower right corner), several spine tics. Back cover: light 2” diagonal crease (middle left open edge) with some slight color breaking (difficult to see in scan - it is very light). Underdog #7 - 6.0 - Off-white to slightly cream pages. Front cover: soft corner with very light 1/2” crease (lower right corner), several spine tics. Back cover: very light 2 1/2” vertical non color breaking bend (upper right side). Underdog #8 - 5.0 - Off-white to slightly cream pages. Front cover: slight corner bend (upper left corner), slight stain/dirt (upper right near 25 cent price), small light corner creasing (lower right corner), several spine tics. Back cover: light 3” vertical bend (near upper left open edge), corner bend (lower right corner). Underdog #9 - 4.5 - Off-white to cream pages. Front cover: diagonal bend (upper left corner - goes through book), corner bend (upper right corner), small corner bend (lower right corner), stress marks along spine, light dirt (middle open edge). Back cover: creases where corner bend is at (upper right), light dirt in a few spots. Underdog #10 - 6.0 - Off-white to slightly cream pages. Front cover: light impression from pen (upper left - goes through U in Underdog), a few spine tics. Back cover: light thumb crease (top middle) with a couple very small 1/32” & 1/64” tears. Underdog #12 - 4.5/5.0 - Looks nicer. Off-white to cream pages. Front cover: light surface impressions/dents in a few spots (villain’s legs, Underdog’s head, upper left corner area), light corner bend (lower right corner) spine tics. Back cover: no major problems. Underdog #13 - 4.5 - Looks nicer, but lowered grade due to centerfold detached at top staple. Off-white to cream pages. Front cover: corner bend (upper left), corner crease with color break (lower right corner) spine tics. Back cover: no major problems. Underdog #14 - 5.0 - Off-white to cream pages. Front cover: light vertical readers creasing (along left side near spine), light thumb crease (bottom right near corner), spine tics. Back cover: light dirt/soiling (top right edge), a couple very small 1/16” tears (one near top middle & one near right corner). Underdog #15 - 5.5 - Cream pages. Front cover: mis-wrap, small crunch (top near left corner) with light creases, small light bend (lower right corner), slight stacking curl, a few spine tics. Back cover: very small ding (top edge near left corner), a few areas of very light dirt/foxing. Underdog #21 - 4.5 - Cream pages. Front cover: very light non color breaking reading crease (along middle area of spine), light bend (upper right corner and lower right corner), a few areas of foxing (mostly along right open edge), spine tics. 2. All books are SOLD!! Selling my Underdog comics. I have a near complete run of lower to mid-grade Gold Key (only missing 3 & 11). I'd like to sell the Gold Key as a group lot. I thought at some point I would finish the run and then upgrade, but I'm really trying to focus on just a couple titles due to time and money. I'm also selling two Charlton Underdog's (issue 1 & 5). Issue 1 is a cracked out CGC 6.0, but that grade seems a bit generous to me. I'm always happy to entertain reasonable offers. If you are interested, please don't hesitate to send me a pm. First in the thread wins. Please do not edit your post after posting PAYMENT Paypal only. Payments should be made within three days of receiving invoice from me. SHIPPING Shipping via USPS Ground Advantage is $12. These will be shipped in a Gemini mailer or sturdy box if I can't fit them in a Gemini. Shipping via USPS Priority is $17. These are typically shipped in a Gemini mailer (depending on number of books) and then put into a USPS Priority flat rate box. Both options include $100 insurance. Anyone who buys a book can let me know their preference when I send out invoices. I won't ship media mail. I've had too many bad experiences. I love our Canadian and overseas members, but will only ship CONUS right now. I will ship books within three days of receiving payment. After I ship, I will send you a USPS tracking number. I will not sell to any H.O.S. Members or anyone currently on the probation list. Although I've never had any issues, full or partial refunds available if you contact me within 10 days of receiving your purchase. I do not offer refunds on CGC graded books. I think that covers it. Here's the books!
  3. Is it even safe to login to their website yet? I won a book in the auction that just ended and would like to pay for it, but I don't think I want to use their website to pay and I haven't received an email confirming that I even won the book yet. IMHO this is completely unacceptable. Down this many days and not a word from CL to let their customers know they are working on the issue and whether it is even safe for people to visit and login to their website. It makes me very wary of being a customer in the future.
  4. I should say that if it's a major key they recognize, they know enough not to sell that at OSPG prices. But I have got quite a few good deals on lower to mid-grade GA books or early SA books.
  5. I will never tell. (I would if you really want to know) They started out as a bookstore and then added comics in the 1990's and did better with comics than paperbacks, so they became a comic shop. They don't ever have very many GA books, maybe once or twice a year they may buy a collection with a few GA books. Most of those are usually like Walt Disney Comics & Stories or other Dell funny animal books. Last year I bought some decent looking lower grade Strange Adventures (2, 10, 23 and a few others) comics at guide.
  6. My LCS still uses OSPG to price their GA books. A few years ago I bought a lower grade copy (3.5 or so) of Black Knight 1 for $100 because that was what OS had it valued at. Even at the time it was worth quite a bit more.
  7. Had a bit of interest, but I think I'm going to close this one. Thank you to everyone who checked out my thread and to those that sent a pm.
  8. Quite a few views. If it's the price, let's try $120 shipped.
  9. That's it. Thanks for looking. I am always open to offers if anyone is interested. If the offer is reasonable, I usually accept it.
  10. Please note: the case looks good to me, but there could be scratches on it that I am missing. Also, I tried to take photos at an angle where there wasn't much glare or my reflection in the case, but it just wasn't possible. There is definitely glare from my office window and I think my reflection is in the case. I probably should have combed my hair before I took the photos. Asking $140 $120 shipped for the book - obo.
