I tend to wonder if this "announcement" will be a moratorium on new submissions...The train seems to be going so fast down the tracks at the moment that to conduct process improvements/internal audits and apply the results it would seem you would have to slow the train down. I'm not necessarily suggesting a blanket moratorium, but let's face it, people these days are encapsulating every darn thing under the sun

IDK, I'm wondering now if my initial "curse"--having to wait nearly 2 years to receive my books--is now more a blessing. I've paid, I've had good experiences before, I'm really REALLY hoping they can pull it together.

I forgot to check the Heritage offerings last week so I tried to check it out last night, I logged on to the live stream more or less by accident, I saw modern 9.8 Superman books (2012 I think) selling for a initial bid of $1, what is the point of slabbing such books?
Agreed! Is it any wonder the TATs at CGC are nuts with books like that comin in?😂

Thanks, Matt! Hopefully, a boardie snagged it.
It was cool to see a couple books I wanted side by side in the auction.
That Vampi cover you hauled in is gorgeous--one of my personal favs. Any Vampi 11 in the Auctions tonight? Wait, better not tell me...to think I missed out, I'd be swallowing sadness

That is a beauty for sure! But I won't belabor that being that it looked like it got away from you. Instead I'll share what my Dad told me when my 10th grade crush broke my heart..."There are plenty more hot fish in the sea...and they're all in college...go to college."
What I'm trying to say is, you'll nab your hot Psycho #1 soon enough.

My favorite runs that I had great fun in collecting is.
1. The Crow 1-4 and the rest of the Crow stories in the Caliber lineup.
2. Amazing spider-man 1-700 (Took me 30+ years to do it)
3 Ultimate Spiderman 1-133 ( Bagley hit Ult. Spidey outta the park)
4. Vampirella 1-113 Warren
5. Tied Creepy 1-146, and Eerie Warren
Oak! Hope you don’t mind but I fixed it for ya!

Vampirella 2 has always been the less appreciated book. I think it's because the cover isn't that awesome and it's sandwiched between 1 and 3 which have traditionally been viewed as the big keys of the run.
I still have faith that Number 2 will eventually see its comeuppance!!!!

Let me chime in with the others from the same seller... (EDIT: Not the same seller as the #5, but all four of these were the same seller.)
I guess there was a #40 in there too...
I never saw the #38, if there was one, but sheesh...
And I gotta tellya, I don't think my copies of some of these look a whole lot worse than these slabbed copies that are flying off the shelves at a grand apiece. Can you tell which of these just sold for $950, and which one of these is mine?
EDIT: I think my Vampi #5 looks every bit as good as the #5 sold above, too. It seems wacky to me.
Can't believe his Vampi 2 in 9.4 at under 800 is still available. That's a steal for sure

Maybe Greg, himself, won the trifecta?
🤔- He told me he didn’t like collecting Vampirella and said to sit back and wait for him to notify me when a good auction came up.
now I’m starting to question everything 😂

Greg,
I thought we had a deal!!! You’re supposed to inform me when there’s an auction that’s gonna fly under the radar Before the Auction ends 🤦🏻♂️.
That auction strikes me as an anomaly- I’ve seen some awesome mags fly under the radar at HA and other sites too- looks like this grouping was one of them. Hope it was a boardie 👍🏻, but dang, Greg!- look alive man- do your job 😂🤪- Gregd and Artifiction

Pam?
I'm no PB aficionado, but isn't the bottom mag Pamela Anderson? You try to be funny on the CGC forum and find out it's all business here.

I think given that 6.0s are selling quickly at $200, a 7.5 should be in the $300-$350 range.
maybe it was the "cream" page quality that kept the price so low...but considering how much it costs to slab one of these things...I have to agree, they got a sweet deal in this current climate

Not until they get their TATs on comics down to less than 2 months.
You took the words right out of my mouth! "We will have your encapsulated pulps back to you by 2024 or your money back" is my best guess as to their marketing slogan

man I love that cover- why there isn’t a vampi 11 club just baffles me...where the Egyptian queen is mesmerizing, this scythe wielding woman matches her step for step in evoking emotion-one of sheer terror

I’ll second Oakman. And add, don’t eat Cheetos before handling those beauties
Hows the 11? My all time favorite👍

Yeah, the CREEPYs overall look an awful lot better than the EERIEs... You'll see when I do the EERIE gallery.
But then they should, I only paid $8.34 for each EERIE, on average, but I paid $16.58 on average for each CREEPY (not counting the #1).
Now That’s impressive! Can’t wait to see em on display

Oh, I almost forgot to address this... Yeah, it's not a nosebleed grade, but they still read just fine.
Several of my EERIEs are even more ragtag than that... I may still do a "Poor Boy's EERIE Gallery" after the CREEPYs, just so y'all can point and laugh at some of them.
If I recall you have a creepy 1 9.0. - that nasty thing would stick out like a sore thumb 😂

You’re definitely in the club...well, assuming it makes its way across the pond👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
