Thank you all for the grading and pressing advice! I’ve decided to send it off — I’m curious to see what the CGC pros grade this as . I’ll provide an update in 2024👍🏻

shop around, and negotiate—amazing how flexible these places may be...what I’m saying is don’t necessarily accept the first offer👍🏻👍🏻

From the link...
"Staple impressions occur when a barrier is not used during pressing..."
Does this mean that if a comic has staple impressions it has been pressed?
I don’t believe so- I think this can occur in manufacturing

I have a sneaking suspicion that you’ve caught the illness...it messes with a person’s head, gnaws at Them keeps em up at night...one of the cardinal symptoms driving the above you ask? Uniformity—Needing ALL the Frazetta grades in 9.6. !😂 Great haul👍🏻

Ok! I’ve got what I feel is one heck of a special archived thread... HUGE thanks to Bounty Coder when he started this many moons ago and to those who offered their wisdom.
I hope you’ll agree that its contents needed to be pulled from the crypt to once again see the light of day👍🏻... I hope I haven’t inadvertently cursed myself

Pics get blurry when zooming in. Little hard to make out detail.
I'll day 8.0-ish. Staple imprints should not effect the grade in this range. They probably would in 9.4 or higher.
Thanks for posting.
Thanks again! My phone has picked a poor time to not focus consistently. I’ve posted new pics nice corners lays flat and smooth. Staple impressions that don’t break the covers

This is a very common issue with square-bounds in general and Warren mags in particular. As long as there are no punctures in the cover (or they're very minor) it shouldn't affect the grade much...
Thank you so much! You are always so helpful! Truly appreciate you!

Beautiful book! Do the staple impressions on front or back impact grade?
Thanks, that's a great question and one I'm just not entirely sure about so would defer to the experts here

You clearly missed the crux of my message. Businesses will do what businesses have done-these laws were in place really to keep them in line, but the many casual hobbyists who sell here and there, who make places like Ebay exciting and worthwhile, will likely hold off on using these forums. Curious, do you get kickbacks from the IRS for posting comments in this thread? Asking for a friend

Sadly, prices are going to go up to account for this. My guess next year when most discover they owe taxes on their used, already taxed goods. The fun in treasure hunting will lose its glow as more “little guys” decide its just not worth the hassle to list things...or the deal they would’ve offered is no longer feasible.

Your scan/pic is trimming the edges and corners of the book too closely.

For those just starting out (and seasoned as well), I wanted to pull up a link to a thread originally posted by NERV. All credit to the original poster and to those who added their wisdom. I recall there being a great thread on skywalds, but alas, it eludes me...

I don’t believe such reporting requirements exist for PayPal friends and family and with some semantic gymnastics it could be said that every one who engages in a friendly exchange is well, a friend

If anyone can clarify,
If sending a book in to be pressed is that wait time separate from the grading wait time?
Thanks!👍🏻
