  1. Fascinating posts. Keep them up!

I have been on a WW2 kick lately and finished Ben Stein's "The Croesus Conspiracy" (fiction about Germany re-arming and a conspiracy in the USA government to bring back the 3rd Reich) and am reading "Submarine Diary" by a WW2 submarine executive officer.

Yesterday a Czech-born Holocaust survivor spoke at my wife's school and I had the privilege of driving her to and from the school. She has seen and experienced some awful things when in Bergen-Belsen and Auschwitz and shared some of that with the 8th grade students. This year I was smart enough to record her 40 minute speech and 50 minute Q&A.

  2. Fantastic Four #37

:applause: Very interesting FF #37 I assume by the picture it has a big chunk out of the top left corner of the inner cover does it extend to the back of the inner cover? Wonder what caused this as I have some Silver Age ASM Double Covers with that problem it must be production related. hm

Yes, it is missing a corner chunk from the inner cover and extends slightly onto the back. I also have a JIM 112 with the same issue and it seems to be a SA Marvel production issue.

  3. Here is just a question out of curiousity but has anyone ever seen like double pages within the book? Does cgc list this on a their slab and how does it effect grading?

I have a few books with double pages. I believe that CGC gives them qualified grades, but I don't have any examples.

  4. Quick question. Are there trends with double covers. In other words, is it more likely that one book will have multiple double cover examples vs another issue. At first blush it would seem that if the machine made a mistake once it would do so more than once.

Yes, there are issues that tend to have double covers more often. Early Conans and Classics Illustrated seem to have more double covers than other titles, and I have seen multiple other specific issues with double or triple covers. For example, I have seen 2 double covers and a triple cover of Captain Marvel Adventures #50.

Speak of the devil...a Cap Marvel #50 double cover was just listed on eBay:
