  1. Ha ha! The police gave this family the authority to destroy the bear. So they called me to come shoot it. One shot through the lungs downed it immediately. None of the meat was wasted, we made steaks and pepperoni out of it. The fur is also being used. In a way, yes, it is sad that this had to be done...the bear was only looking for food albeit in an aggressive way. Big problem up here...hot, dry spring and summer led to no berries which led to hungry bears everywhere. But Kraven would take care of that!
  2. Not if you were the family with five kids that this bear was terrorizing.
  3. In that case, add me to the list. Northern Ontario is full of wildlife, both two-legged and four-legged varieties. Kraven will love the hunt up here.
  4. Jeff blew my socks off with his bomb-proof packaging and speedy delivery. He pays attention to detail, grading is spot on! Very friendly guy...no issues with buying from Jeff, folks!
  5. Here's an interesting article about this fella. Choose the link about "arrest warrant issued..." https://www.google.com/#q=george+hampton+altoona Must be dozens of George Hamptons from Altoona PA that collect comic books.
  6. Here's a buyer who "purchased" $1,154.00 worth of comics from me on eBay a month ago. Claimed PayPal was screwing him so he will send a cashier's check. Nothing showed up, no response to my messages. So I've paid $130 in eBay FV fees for nothing. deah2385.u1ekpptj has been blocked. Looks like he just left another seller hanging according to his feedback.
  7. Some BATMAN #307 covers have a light blue square near the upper right corner above the CCA code and some don't. I figure once they made the Whitman copy, they covered up the number 307 and Month. Then they probably did another print run after the Whitman copies were made but didn't quite match up the blue/purple colour in the square? Not sure if this is an error though?
  8. Snagged a UNCANNY X-MEN 94 from Dave...lightning fast shipping, secure packaging, accurately graded book. A+ service!
  9. Thanks for the info, everyone. My wife and I are going to watch the Habs clobber the Carolina Hurricanes on the evening of March 19th. While she's busy in the miles of underground shopping complexes, I'll saunter over to some of these comic shops. Other things to do in Montreal... Need I even mention the Bell Centre and the Canadiens Hall of Fame? The old Forum on Atwater? I hear the Bar-B-Barn rib joint on Guy Steet isn't as good as it used to be. Is this true? Since the quality of Ben's Deli declined and ultimately closed, we usually go to Reuben's for lunch, they make a mean Montreal smoked meat sandwich. Any other great food joints? Looks like construction on the Jacques Cartier bridge is finally finished so traffic shouldn't be as bad now especially with the new Autoroute 30 that bypasses Montreal completely. You can grab a spectacular view of the city up on Mount Royal (say hi to my aunts and uncles buried in the cemetery while you're there) on Remembrance Road. Look around McGill University, beautiful old buildings there. You can go to the Oratory on the hill, take a tour, they even have Brother (or is he a "saint" now?) Andre's heart in a jar on display, no kidding. Then there's the Notre-Dame Basilica closer to old Montreal. If you really want to see a nice church/basilica, go to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre, bit of a drive from Montreal though. Beautiful area, especially for skiing. Old Montreal is a nice walk, be careful spending as it's mostly a tourist trap. The Biodome is always a nice visit. There's a casino for the gamblers but the old Hippodrome is no longer open. Anything else? Other than the usual drink-a-thons on Crescent Street and "peep shows" on Ste Catherine Street?
  10. Here's three pics of one of my bookshelves.
  11. Side note: So since Wells murdered Simon Stagg, does that mean we won't get to see Rex Mason/Metamorpho?
  12. I thought he said "Batman" at first so I hit rewind on the PVR and he did say "that man"
  13. Abra Kadabra from the 64th Century. He'd be at the top of my list as who Dr Wells really is. They even look alike! Then we have other non-flash Rogues Gallery time-travelling villains like Vandal Savage, Chronos, Time Trapper and Monarch.
  14. I still say Wells is Vandal Savage...although Wells being Abra Kadabra isn't too far-fetched either.
  15. "Wheelchair guy" may also be Vandal Savage, no? He is immortal and has been known to time-travel.
  16. Paid for book on July 30th. Book never arrived. Attempted to contact GG but I never received any response, even to this day. Utter fail.....
  17. Well, I grew up reading comics with works by guys such as Dillin, Irv Novick, Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez, Ross Andru, Jim Starlin, Barry Smith, Neal Adams, Jim Aparo, John Romita Sr (not Jr), Curt Swan, John Buscema (loved his Conan run), Ernie Chan (Chua), Mike Grell and Kurt Schaffenberger...just to name a few. So best artists ever...ever....in my opinion, would be these guys above. Had I been a decade or more older or younger, my opinion would definitely be different.
  18. What the heck. I'll take option #1 Winnah! PM your address to me
  19. Wow, those are awesome! Nice work

  21. with option 3 Well, heck, let's do it, option #3. I should have some valuable drek kicking around at home, I'll post two options later today/tonight.
  22. Michael is indeed a comic book packer of the Highest order. A superb job on packing the Ms Marvel #1-23 for shipment to Canada. And your grading is stellar. So let me see.....friendly seller, fast shipment, bomb-proof packaging, stellar grading....what more could a guy ask for? Thanks again, Michael.
  23. The Holy Bible. 66 different books written by 40 different authors over the length of thousands of years. Even if you don't believe it's God Word, it's still a history book filled with drunks, murderers, thieves, adulterers, rapists, war mongers, cowards, etc.
