  1. You have to write the value for each comic and the modern tier (the lowest costing one) only allows comics up to 200$. So are your thor comics only worth 200$ Is that the price that was listed on the submission form sent to CGC?
  2. Here's a ridiculous set of panels, the comic was just releases last week and I don't really get it. It sounds like Bumblebee is accepting the terminator taking his life.
  3. yeah, plus with the whole process is can sometimes take months before getting one's books back so as you say, taking a bit more time to understand won't make too much of a difference.
  4. The wisest thing is to send books that all have the same value. Look at the section on the site that shows grading costs, you'll notice that the service you get depends on how much you think the book is worth. And sending 20 books of varying worth means many different ordered and they will all be shipped back to you at different times, which you want to avoid unless you don't mind paying shipping multiple times.
  5. I wa happy to see Walt Simonson in the current event, I already sent them my book. Did you send yours yet?
  6. Your able to grade those SA Spidey Comics, Thor 337 and GSXM 1 comics for 25$ each? That's pretty impressive.
  7. Yes, they do lose books, that is what the declared value is all about. It's exactly or that and nothing else. So say, you send in an amazing spider-man 300 and select the modern tier stating that you think its worth 200$, then if they lose it they give you 200$. So people should not undervalue their books because that is what CGC uses to pay you back. I havent heard of cases where they argue the book's worth compared to what you state. And writing a really obscene price just makes your book go through the walkthrough tier so there are far less chances of it being lost.
  8. Man forget 6.0, for most moderns, a 9.6 won't get you enough. What a waste. https://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?back=%2FComicTrack%2FAuctions%2Fbids.asp&id=1421941 Over 90% of books graded by CGC would have made as much or more for the seller if sold raw instead.
  9. I didn't mean to represcreen, just to rebag. Just in case you get higher. Also if you dont care about the grade, then why waste money getting them graded? Doesn't make much sense.
  10. The best in terms of return is mycomicshop due to them having lower fees than either if those 2.
  11. The first question to answer is, how do you know your books are worth getting graded? Can you take some pics? And for your sought after books, show us what the edges of the comics look like. Also the tier is related to the era and the value you'd like to get back in case CGC mishandle or lose your book. If you want you can give us examples of the books you have in mind along with pictures of them and I'd be glad to help. After a few examples, you will understand perfectly.
  12. Here is mine. Bought it for peanuts eight years ago. Have been a happy owner ever since. Wakanda forever!
  13. Found this in the dollar bin last time I went to a convention.
  14. Colour breaks such as indicated in the grade notes are not allowed above 8.0 I am sure if we saw a proper scan there would be no doubt of the grade.
  15. I realize there are two threads titled the same way, any chance they could be merged?
  16. Just to answer the question in a straightforward manner. $25 is a very good price if you aren't paying extra in terms of membership fees and spacing out your submissions, basically as good as it gets. And yes, a 100% gross margin is the average several are ok with when selling on e-bay (so selling something that cost $25-30 for $50-60). Especially if shipping isn't included.
  17. Glad to see another club I could join. Bought this a few years ago raw and it's exactly the grade I thought I would get. Looks like a FN on the front but has tape pull on the back. That was perfect for me, since it gave me the best looking comic I could afford.
