  1. Yeah, I get that since we were in Steven's point of view, they wouldn't show the action bits when Marc takes over. But when we finally get the Marc reveal at the end, cutting away from the action felt really lame to me. Kinda soured me on the episode as a whole.
  2. Didn't No Time to Die's P&A costs baloon since it had to do 2 seperate rounds of P&A years apart? If we are going to use No Time do Die as a fair comparative estimate, it's figure should be cut in half.
  3. I legit see it as the true marvel grail, regardless which Marvel book may be worth more. But if you don't like the casting, and believe that's the reason, then why the disappointment? Wouldn't that validate your assessment of the situation? For instance, I am a transformers fan and absolutely hate the Michael Bay films. But they were making billions, one after the other. I was just hoping that the other shoe would drop one day and these films would be seen as the naked emperors they are. Well, finally the Last Knight was just too garbage of a film for even China to care and it lost over a hundred million dollars. While it's a franchise I care for, I was glad the film failed and not dissapointed since it made the studio rethink what to do with the franchise. And the next film we got was my personal favourite of the bunch.
  4. Are you upset that it isn't doing better? Or do you think it makes sense that it is not doing better? Do you think DC's popularity, and Batman's popularity, is not what it used to be?
  5. I was surprised. But it only made a little less than what I expected. The surprise is more about how well Lost City made. Those are great numbers even in non covid times.
  6. Are you 100% certain this is the same book you sent? CGC has been known to mix books up. If you compare with a scan before you sent them in, do all your books match up?
  7. Cleaning comes with it. As for your other questions, I have realized that pressing is not the be all end all service to make your comics nicer. It really mainly fixes 2 things: Spine roll and non colour breaking creases. Neither of the issues you mentioned are guaranteed to be removed with a press/clean. Especially that spine stress. Stress lines cannot be removed, only creases. So what happened is the press removed the creases but kept the crease lines, which don't go away. So you get a flatter book but the grade is the same since the non pressable lines will make you lose points just the same.
  8. Even if the lower grade book with the great colours was selling for the same price as the higher graded book? That's the question here. Will you pay multiple times guide price for nice colours, as is the case with the fiction house books mentioned in this thread? Anyways, I found myself a worlds finest 90 with phenomenal colours and wanted to share (sorry about the glare but that gorgeous blue was captured well)
  9. I am extatic about all these nice comics now in my collection.
  10. Yes it can, this is a common issue. It means that there are potentially a bunch of CGC 9.8s out there that are not actually that grade.
  11. Especially with the collar completing that reference.
  12. Look up sold listings for each in cgc 8.0 on eBay. But honestly, that's pretty low grade, you would make more money without grading them.
  13. No, Skyfall is the one with Javier Bardem, the guy from No Country for Old Men. I think you'd like it, it has a bit that I think was taken directly from the Dark Knight. The one you referred to is Spectre. The problem with that one is that it does one of those retcons of "this was the plan all along" or "everything is connected" and it just does not work. To anyone who watched all these movies, I think the scene I like the least in all of them combined is that part around the end of Spectre where Bond walks through a corridor and pics of all the people from the previous movies are jut pasted there. It's the laziest ploy at a "connection" I have ever seen.
  14. What does a Power Lifter know about batman films? Which are your top 5 Bond films? I really like Skyfall (aside from Bond having sex with a former child slave right after she tells him she was a child slave). The rest are really hit and miss for me. I know Casino Royal gets a lot of love but I have way too many problems with the Mr White stuff and how it muddies what could be a more straight forward movie. Skyfall is great. Of all the Craig Bond films, it's the one that can simply be popped in randomly, with no connection to other stuff and enjoyed like you'd enjoy any other bond film of the past 60 years. Yeah, I like the opening in Spectre as well, except for that couch. No Time to Die has a ton of stuff happen but I find the main villain stuff so bewildering. he looks the same age as Madeline Swan and yet was a grown man when he first meets her as a little girl. And I have no clue what his poison island and that acid lake has to do with the nanobots. I don't even know where he is sending the missiles to at the end and who he's targetting. Kinda sucks that he's the vllain who's ultimately responsible for Bond's demise. Also.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY @Bosco685!!!!!!!!
  15. everything I got to admit, that is one funny line from you. If you are grounded and looking at this in an even headed way, you should avoid anecdotal evidence like this. Some fanboys at a comic/toy show said it wasn't good= flop. Come on, it sounds like you are describing what the simpson's comic book guy said to you. And aside from all that, as I said before, a good movie doesn't mean it will make a ton of money. Let's compare BVS to Batman begins. One made 3 times the money of the other, is it 3 times better? It would only be a fair comparison if this film also had Keaton's Batman and Bale's Batman show up at the end to help Battinson beat 5 iconic Batman villains. That's how I felt. And that's why I went and watched it 2 more times. Just so much Batman to enjoy.
  16. The main takeaway from people is that he surprised them. I have seen so few posts stating he was bad. Instead I see a bunch of memes about how great he turned out, even a fill in the blank apology letter for R Bats, which made me chuckle.
  17. After having seen it, they really should have released it as Parts 1 and 2. Would have made quite a bit of money. And there would have been real hype for that second part.
  18. I thought BvS was only considered a huge failure as a film, not necessarily at the box office. They still went ahead with Justice League.
