  1. Lots of good advice so far. Here's another perspective: Why trade? Sell what you don't want and save until you have enough to buy the book you do want. You're much more likely to get the book you'd like at the best possible price.
  2. Fantastic Four 63 - 5.0 OW $15 Amazing Spider-man King Size 5 - 4.0 OW $16 Hulk 147 - 7.5 OW $10
  3. I sold this one early on after the first Avengers movie, thinking it was just getting the typical quick villain book bump, which would then drop back down. Oops. There's no way I would lay out what it would cost to replace it in the same grade now.
  4. Champions 6 - 8.0 OW $3 Captain America 212 - 6.5 OW $2 Where Monsters Dwell 33 - 8.5 $3 Fear 5 - 6.5 CROW $5 ASM 154 - 8.0 OW $8 ASM 131 - 5.0 OW $8 Marvel Premiere 13 - 7.5 OW $8 Swamp Thing 7 - 4.5 OW $10 Swamp Thing 2 - 3.5 OW $4
  5. If I suddenly came into $150,000, I wouldn't spend it on comics, except possibly a small amount. If I HAD to spend it on comics, probably a Captain America #1 for me, too. Unless I could get a low-grade Cap #1 and Tec #27.
  6. Champions 4 - 8.0 W $3 Hulk 146 - 3.5 OW $2 Avengers 127 - 4.5 OW $2 Marvel Feature 1 - 8.5 W $14 What If 1 - 3.0 OW $5
  7. I know, but I was curious to hear why the OP had it signed by him.
  8. Silly question, but why would you have Stan sign a book that he had absolutely nothing to do with? Zero, zilch, nada. Captain Victory wasn't even published by Marvel.
  9. Here's a few differences: Devil Dinosaur and The Eternals are properties wholly owned by Marvel (although completely the creation of Jack Kirby) that have never appeared in a movie or been exploited in any way. Godzilla is a property owned by Toho Studios that is 67 years old, has appeared in 36 movies if you count the US versions, and has had immeasurable merchandising exposure in figures as well as print. I'd bet worldwide more people would recognize Godzilla than Spider-Man. I can't imagine that the upcoming Kong vs. Godzilla movie is going to make Godzilla #1 explode in price. Furthermore, I enjoy Herb Trimpe's art and even have a piece hanging on my wall but in no way does his work command a premium.
  10. On Saturday I shipped 2 magazines first class from the east coast to San Francisco. They were delivered yesterday. That's an outlier though. I'm finding packages are moving faster now, but still not at their usual speed, and location makes a huge difference; some hubs and sorting facilities seem to be more backed up than others.
  11. Well, using PayPal F&F for items that don't meet the criteria is against PayPal rules as well as Board Rules, so it's not exactly moot. I'll bow out here, chief. Carry on!
  12. You may want to read the HOS and Probabtion List rules in case you haven't:
  13. Using PayPal F&F on the Boards is not allowed. It also leaves the buyer no recourse in case something goes wrong. See #9 on the Usage Guidelines: While on the subject of Board Rules, there is no Board Rule that stipulates in a thread trumps PM negotiations, that's merely a rule several sellers stipulate that many people copy. When I run a sales thread, it doesn't matter to me if someone wants to remain private and buy a book via PM or not. As long as I have an unqualified, definite "take it," the book goes to that person. Finally, I thought you were going to wait until you had the boxes in stock? I'd never put books up for sale unless I was able to ship them.
