  1. If am pretty sure I have a copy or two of this somewhere. Time to start digging.
  2. On e a sale is complete I don’t care what the buyer does with it after. What I don’t like is when I get the “it’s my grail books story” and the book is up on a consignment site a week later. With that said there are many I choose not to sell to, but it is not based on previous sales.
  3. Anyone experiencing a significant time lapse between books being dropped off or shipped to CGC compared to the date they are actually entered into the system?
  4. OP later admitted to introducing the fingerprints himself.
  5. There were twice as many that were in the 8.0 to 9.0 range that I passed on.
  6. If CGC hammers stains, this one would get jacked and sledged.
  7. There are services available where the one who will clean and press will give you an assessment of the book. Some charge for this service, some do not. In either case, make sure you go to someone who is reputable and not just advertising on Facebook.
  8. We all have some regrets. Picked up a TON of Uber high grade PF’s this morning at one booth. Missed most of them from A-D as another dealer was looking through those boxes. I’ll post a picture on Sunday once I get settled. May need multiple pictures for this haul.
  9. CGC will not downgrade for pressing unless it was done improperly.
  10. No onsite in Canada. Nearest show (geographically) to Canada that offers on-site is probably Seattle. Very far from Montreal.
  11. Could be better than a 9.0 in the right hands.
  12. One more question. Do the stains go through the paper on the back cover? Or are they surface?
  13. CGC will hit that amount of ink. If the rest of the book is NM it will be a full grade or more in the hit. The fact that it is red on red helps visually, but not technically. Not sure if that’s foxing on the back cover, could be dirt or color transfer from other books smeared with the red DI. A good example is the FF 112 Rube11 has for sale in his thread. Structurally a VF+ or better book, but the intrusiveness of the ink resulted in the grade getting hammered FF 112
  14. Are those color breaking creases along the top edge of the front cover?
  15. I have seen this before, and it is simply a case of the inner well not being sealed on all 4 sides. I fixed a Walking Dead #1 a little while back for a new board member that had damage to his book from the same issue. The book has slid out from between the open edges of the inner well.
