  1. Iron Man #1 CGC 8.5 OW/W Pages. $1,000.00
  2. Usual rules apply. No one on any lists, or if I have you on ignore. Shipping is included. Consider all books pressed. First gets it. First up is...
  3. Not done intentionally. When I was done with this book I was super sensitive to the spine being taped up so I made sure no shifting or puckering took place. TBH I think it is due to the pressure from the inner well if the book is not placed perfectly in the holder as it is being sealed. I see this light flaring happen when putting a book into a bag and board that is a little snug, so I would expect the same to happen within the inner well.
  4. I have cleaned wax off of books before, but crayon has the added element of color. The indents from the tracing can easily be removed and the crayon reduced, but the question would be “does CGC consider it restoration or damage”. Would be a question for them.
  5. Again, it comes down to the person doing the work. If they have the experience, they will look at a book and say the risk of popping a staple outweighs the benefit from a press, and they will not press the book. Even with that it occasionally happens to the very best, so know that going in. In certain cases where the spine roll is so severe and CGC would not be able to encapsulate it, it may be worth the risk.
  6. A popped staple could happen on any book, if the person doing the pressing, is not proficient at their trade.
  7. No, it cannot. Too bad, as it looks like a nice copy from what is pictured.
  8. Might get the bump after a cleaning. Whoever works on his book will need to know what they are doing.
  9. At least I am not going crazy. Hulk #1 CGC 9.2
  10. Damage by water. Some cases tide lines, in other areas it cleaned the tanning from the page resulting in the whiter areas in the back cover.
  11. I don’t believe I have ever owned a copy of this book. Looks like it is too late now.
  12. The character was Champion. And yes, the stone gave him greater physical strength.
  13. Outside edge of the front cover had all the real damage. Book presents very well for a 7.5.
  14. So sorry to see his happen to anyone, let alone a friend. I know I am not around the block, but have a generator if you need it.
  15. Your item arrived at a facility in CANADA on October 9, 2018 at 10:18 am.
