  1. A good movie, but lacked the magic of the first one.
  2. I have shown this on the boards before, but it is a classic example of moisture damage or a bad press, or both.
  3. The possibility exists. I hold books like this for a week or so to see if anything happens, if it does, I hit it again. That usually takes care of any reversion attempts.
  4. Absolutely they can be improved on. If there are tide lines from too much water intrusion, little can be done about those, but the wrinkles and waves can be reduced greatly or removed completely. See the example below.
  5. That amount of dirt would have an impact on the grade. How much I am not 100% sure on. But I could see a grade bump if it was cleaned and pressed afterwards.
  6. Shameless plug here folks. My Supernatural Thrillers #1 is closing tonight on Comic Connect. Extremely hard to find picture frame in 9.8. Still a steal at its current price.
  7. Just throwing this out there...what if we got free ice cream with the purchase of 100 Mylar's? Works for me.
  8. I think he means where the seal lines are. Some lines are cleaner and others tend to look like glue was applied with a spray nozzle. I have a few slabs that look like that.
  9. At the airport. Another successful Calgary show behind me. Looked like it was going to be slim pickings the first day, but patience and persistence paid off. Once my brain got over the fact prices were in Canadian dollars it was easier to process what was worth buying. A thanks to the guys at the Citadel Comics booth (4 collectors and dealers sharing a space together, who buy books from one another at the show and sell them back to each other for a profit (I'll let you figure that one out)) and Andy Greenham from some coin store that is located in a forest for some reason. Picked up some nicebooks from them that made the show profitable. On top of all that these guys are the salt of the earth. Great ambassadors of the show and the country.
  10. IF TAT's remain good I have no problem with the price increase. IF TAT's go back to 3 month I expect pushback in the form of less submissions to CGC and more to the other guys.
  11. Ice Cream always trumps Mylar's.
  12. Comics produced with thicker cover stock or dark ink tend to show the stress lines in a more exaggerated way that a whit cover with thinner cover stock would. Some of the spines actually crack when the book is folded over. A classic example of this would be the Platinum variant of Spider-Man #1. In the case of the OP's book I believe it is a combination of wear as well as production related issues.
