  1. One of the local guys here in a charlottes had a ton of high grade bronze horror. Structurally the books were 9.6/9.8 but they all had heavy tanning. I almost cried when I picked through his 5 copies of supernatural thrillers #1 to see they all were perfect, no breaks and great color and gloss but brown on the inside. I picked one up just for the heck of it, but with proper storage most of his books would have been top census copies.
  2. Thought it was a 9.8. That's too bad.
  3. Went to "scheduled for grading today". 13 business days. To be "on time" they would have to grade/quality control and ship" by tomorrow. Day 19. Still in QC.
  4. No kidding. Very sharp copy. I have only seen 1 book for sale that graded higher (Terry's Comics) and that was priced through the roof, and rightly so.
  5. Went to "scheduled for grading today". 13 business days. To be "on time" they would have to grade/quality control and ship" by tomorrow. Business day 16. Still sitting at scheduled for grading on a 15 day submission. I would imagine I will not be getting a grade on this single book until early next week. Figuring that it should be done by business day 22-23. That's late by 32%. Not a complaint, just stating what it is.

  8. I sent in a single "standard" submission on 4/8. Parts of 11 business days and it has not been "scheduled for grading" yet. I checked 5 minutes ago and it has not even gone through the resto check. Lets see if I can pick it up this Friday.
  9. The defense rests... On the form though... "Applies to Modern, Value and Economy tiers only. Reduces the estimated turnaround times by half". What does this say? I highlighted it in red so it's easy to understand. It's a screenshot of the web page right now. The same thing it said when I sent my submission a month ago. I saw what you highlighted I was simply stating what the form says. Based on their own wording if the TAT for value is almost 60 days and they state FT Value is 20 then I would say they owe you money. But, they can always fall back and say it is really 30 days and they made an error on the website.

  11. I understand. See my post above yours. I wasn't responding to your post. I was just ranting and your post was the one in front of mine. (thumbs u OK.
  12. I would agree with a West Coast, that's a good idea as this does sound like growing pains in business. I have empathy & sympathy for those at CGC. I've only ever had great experiences with them. Despite a couple of past mistakes, they've always been very polite with me and taken great care of me. I think as a society we're quick to complain. I know I was just complaining with Jeff about my books as well. But in all seriousness, these are first world problems. Yes we pay for a service, and yes we've paid extra for "fast-track", but I want to make sure they do a great job on the grading/encapsulation and not just rush through books, both as a buyer and seller. Technically fast track is 1/2 of the current TAT. So 120 days would really be 60 if we went by the letter of the law.
  13. After you get berated for the 100,000th time regarding TAT's that you have no control over, how much empathy would you have? Honestly, thats not my problem. then find another job. It's ok for them to be jaded? I understand that there are unreasonable peopl out there who probably flip out for no reason, but that doesn't mean they should treat everyone the same. If i'm paying you for a job, then do your job, don't act like a jerk because the 5 people before me were jerks. Like I said, I'd just like to sense that they care, maybe then the long delay's wouldn't be so bad. Next time I am in Sarasota, I will tell them to put on a smiley face when you call. Better yet, tell them to stop taking submissions until the TATs are back within reason. (thumbs u Seems like a reasonable request. I'll relay your thoughts when I am at CGC next week. Mr. Sarcastic? No at all. I will ask for an audience with them and relay Chris's thoughts.

  16. No, If you look at my custom title I don't like waiting, but I also know who to complain to. Don't know what else to tell you. The CS people are not the ones responsible for that. They can put a rush sticker on an order, but once it leaves their hands they have little power to control the processes. Call up and ask for the shipping department or QC and complain to them.

  19. Does this mean Roy still has a chance of winning the bet with Mike?
  20. In what grade? I have been buying SW 1 for the last 8 years and have yet to run across a NM+ copy for less than $50.00. Most of the time I pay $75 to $100.
