  1. No doubt the funniest and most clever thing ever posted on this board. It works on so many levels you can't help but laugh and laugh again. Awesome! It's even proportionally correct.
  2. One of the funniest things ever posted on the boards. Yeah. It's still making me giggle. How has Flee never won Boardie of the Year? This is some dadgum funny stuff. That picture is my new desktop wallpaper. Me too.
  3. Ultimate Spiderman #1 (white cover) has two printing defects that cut into the book. One in Spideys foot and i cannot remember the other spot.
  4. You are correct Sean. They do not go all the way through. The rest of the book sans the bindery defect is perfect. The scan Steve took of it does enhance the creases, they are not that bad if you hold the book in your hand. Will a perfect, pristine crease free copy of this book ever exist? Possibly, but I have looked through long boxes of this book. Gone through and picked out dozens of nice copies and this was the cleanest copy I have seen to date.
  5. Good morning, good afternoon, and good night. What a book. I picked it up Wednesday at the show. It was graded Thursday.
  6. I also see an additional spine tic. What about the back cover? Another drawback to this book is the dark back cover. I didn't see any color breaks on the BC of my books. That's good. If you have even one break on the BC I don't see a chance at 9.8 even if the printing defects are minimal. On a side note, while I am a fan of SS Books I see most collectors of the Wolverine series as blue label fans. I hope having them signed does not hurt the desirability of the books.
  7. Book has sold. I will let the new owner decide if he want to post a scan. It was a cash/ trade deal that included mowing my lawn through calendar year 2013.
  8. It counts about as much as using tact does in a chat forum these days. Yeah, total diiiiiick maneuver, Buttock! You have no idea how long I have been wanting to use that line. The comment was explained to me via PM and all is well.
  9. Had one picture frame book graded onsite this week. I was very happy with Title: Thor 193 CGC Grade: 9.8 White Pages
  10. I also see an additional spine tic. What about the back cover? Another drawback to this book is the dark back cover.

  12. I picked it out of a few high grade copies in Charlotte. Cannot remember the dealer. I own it, pressed it and submitted it. It has 2 slight defects and that's it. Both are production related ( yes the ones we all are thinking about) but they are minimal.
  13. I was bidding on that book. Would have gone higher, but I thought it was a weak 7.5. Still in the market for an upgrade from the 6.5 I have.
  14. Why that TOD #14 is a 9.4 I'll never know.
  15. I am not familiar with this at all. Can you list/show some examples? What is the code intended to do? Most modern Marvel books (sorry can't speak for DC) have a little sticker on the back of the book that covers up a code that unlocks a digital version on your PC, iPod, etc. (run by comxiology). Almost all Marvel books have them now-a-days. It seems that they are targeting those who collect the books or resells for profit with those who want to read the books without putting any stress on their collectable. I'm not completely familiar with the pressing process (something that flattens your book that helps in the grade by ironing out wrinkles and some blemishes). Some places I read use chemicals. While others use heat or steam. What I'm in search of is if anyone knows if this process effects the sticker. Does the chemicals or heat loosen up the sticker. This also ties into another post I had about if the sticker effects the grade of the book or not. Thanks for asking. You (or I) have to be extremely careful and patient, but it is possible to properly press these types of books.
