  1. One book for sale. No one on any list or if I have you on ignore Consider everything pressed unless noted otherwise. All slab sales final. So please ask questions up front. Paypal and personal checks accepted. Shipping is included. Incredible Hulk #102 CGC 9.6 is the book.
  2. CCS is the in-house pressing service you can use to CPR signature books. Some of us were able to do so in the past but they have cracked down on allowing third party companies to do so. I would send the book in the slab and let them do it. Once a signature book is removed from the slab CGC will no longer honor the signature. What kind of ink or paint was used to sign the book? Sharpies are no problem to press but other types of paint could be problematic.
  3. The only submission tier I have seen consistent over the years has been magazines. I have rarely been surprised +/- when submitting magazines compared to vintage comics.
  4. Could be too tight of an inner well. Could be humidity. Could be too much moisture was used when it was initially pressed. Or, it could be a combination of the three.
  5. Correct. The initial control was the book sat in my work area (AC at 72 degrees and 50% humidity +/-) The book was cut in half. The one half was immediately bagged and boarded, and the other half humidified and pressed, left overnight in the press and then bagged and boarded
  6. We did. The half that was pressed actually had more hydrogen bonds and the pages were more supple compared to the non-pressed half. I want to say Mike actually took care of the logistics while I provided the sample for testing.
  7. For some the consequences are immediate. Burnt books, color loss due to improper dry cleaning or too much humidity, specking, pebbling and worse. I have books in my personal collection that I pressed back in 2004/5 that still look the same as the day they were pressed. Cannot for a certainty say what’s happening to them in the slab, but from a sheer visual point of view I don’t see any changes.
  8. Same for me. ios 16.6.1
  9. Not a QC issue per se, but could be an encapsulation issue. Does the shape of the discolors look familiar?
