  1. You obviously have no clue to PGX's extensive fraudulent history, nor do many other collectors in the hobby such as yourself. And I doubt you even looked at RMA's link to some of PGX's notorious past activities http://www.justafanboy.com/PGX/ Wish you the best of luck with a restoration check on the FF#1 Here's a blast from the past. Hilarious forged Ditko signature authenticated by the highly respected experts at PGX
  2. If it's the same book, interesting how page quality went from "Off-White/White" to "Brittle"
  3. Might be a few 9.2's and 9.4's in there! Makes me wonder: between the damage from bundled comics, damage from rifled newsstand copies and spinner racks, lack of proper comic storage, and very few high grade collectors, how did so many 60's comics survive in 9.2 or better condition? Warehouse finds
  4. Very beautiful books everyone! Here are a couple of my favorite Ditko covers:
  5. Oh my, that book is tearing apart in that slab
  6. Sold my Pacific Coast copy many years back Really sweet Adams cover:
  7. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if Danny P. is somehow connected with "bargainhuntersstore"
  8. Very curious why there wouldn't be notes available for this book?? The grader's notes could confirm whether this book was switched out by a slick con artist or mislabeled by CGC. Seller is from Eugene, Oregon
  9. Photos have finally surfaced of PGX's encapsulation room
  10. Very beautiful copy! I've always loved the bright yellows on this issue
  11. But doesn't Negligence, Fraud, and Misrepresentation caused by a breach of duty (negligence in counting pages properly), trump any disclaimers PGX may put on their website? If these allegations can be proven, doesn't PGX have ultimate liability, since this was not a subjective error on their part? How this would all play out in court I have no idea, but a good lawyer could have fun with this one.
  12. Just a beautiful collection of Spidey books! Congrats!!
  13. Was just able to upgrade my #17 thanks to a fellow boardie and put together my Green Goblin trifecta. A few newton rings on the #17 but otherwise very pleased again:
  14. Absolutely, stay clear away from PGX. Their history of fraud, deceit, and shadiness has filled many pages of this forum. Any part-time lawyers out there feel the OP has basis to file suit against Daniel/PGX for negligence (missed page count) and misrepresentation (unrestored label) if all other avenues fail him?
  15. Could the buyer then not contact PGX for resolution in this case? If PGX refuses to make the buyer whole, then sue PGX for negligence and misrepresentation? PGX negligently failed to count the pages, which is part of their service and not subjective, and then misrepresented their label with an unrestored outcome due to this negligence. Would like to see how this plays out in court and what the result would be. At least pull Daniel out of his mom's garage for a few days!
  16. Interesting to know there was a "cosplay controversy" all the way back in 1973 involving this 14 year old girl, who was booed and heckled so vocally after award announcements, that she declined to accept her 3rd place prize And Zeck's Black Bolt costume is pretty amazing! How cool to find out they also auctioned off original artwork at that 1971 convention:
  17. Gorgeous book and love that Goblin cover!
  18. Here's another photo I found. Appears to have been taken at the same time:
