  1. ditto.... and I was the underbidder (on Andy's copy) Now, if all was fair in war and war, you'd auction your GIC 68 through Heritage, Andy would be the underbidder who dropped out at $925.00, and we'd all gripe about forgetting when the auction went down while some unknown collector was doing the little Walter Houston "found-me-some-gold" dance from Treasure of the Sierra Madre. Wouldn't that be just awful. Let's not hope for that.
  2. I do it all the time if I know the person is a boardie. Your post has to be sarcasm, right? False douchery masking the fact that you're amazed at how trusting of you someone is? Say it's so, because that post is pretty bad. Years ago, I used to "advance ship" board sales even before receiving payment if the boardie was well-established or someone I was friendly with. Learned not to do that.
  3. Thanks adamstrange! Did you happen to have the hammer price for the SSWS 84 CGC 7.0?

  7. A few war books did well in last night's Comic Connect auction. ALL AMERICAN MEN OF WAR #27 DC CGC VF+: 8.5 $465 ALL AMERICAN MEN OF WAR #67 DC CGC VF-: 7.5 $670 ALL AMERICAN MEN OF WAR #82 DC CGC VF/NM: 9.0 $925 I did put some bids on them, but considering there was likely no Marlow or Evans bidding, I'd say they sold for a decent amount.
