  1. Didn't see that, but pretty much any copy is worth $100. Andy
  2. You're getting some great books there. Andy
  3. Looks like one of those "Space Pops" or something like that. One of those old ice cream or flavoured-water treat. Andy
  4. This is why it is difficult to set a formula. A piece missing from a book is much different from something like cleaned staples. Plus, there are varying opinions regarding some defects. Perhaps a better thing to do would be to figure out what a Blue grade would be if the defect were taken into account and go from there. This is what I was thinking also. Say you have a green label 9.2 with a pulled staple. If it was in a blue label it would be about a 7.0 I wonder how you would price a book like that? I'd say the grade should drop 4-5 grades. How to price it, however you want, but going by the lower graded blue label price makes sense to me. Andy
  5. I don't think CGC's grading has been getting soft. That being said, I'd say that the Showcase #4 CGC 9.6 in Heritage's auction right now looks much lower than a 9.6. Buying the book, not the grade is great advice, but seeing the CGC grade will definitely get you close to what you're expecting. Someone's raw grading may differ quite a lot from your own grading and that's where I see the usefulness of buying a CGC graded book. I've been disappointed so many times buying raw, yet I still find myself going back for more. I dunno, Shep. Trust your instincts, buy what you like, all's fair in love and war comics....and all that jazz. (thumbs u Andy
  6. I called that book 7.0-7.5, he called it 7.5. I passed on it and the seller decided to call it an eBay 8.0. He did extremely well for what that book is.
  7. ebay.ca is Canada, and that`s the link that was the link that was sent to you. Even though Fay probably goes to ebay.com, the automated ``convenience`` that comes with computers these days, just assumed that because she`s in Canada, she`ll want to use a link back to ebay.ca. Why you couldn`t sign in is beyond me. Your username and password should work for all world-wide ebay sites.
  8. Great bunch o` DC war goodness. Andy
  9. Dunno. I had an extra copy not too long ago, can't find it around here though. Probably sold it at the last show in Toronto. Many other great covers is this run, though. Andy
  10. By the looks of the census there is only one copy graded period...an 8.0. Looks like you'll be able to see it next week, though. (thumbs u
  11. Sorry, dino means dinosaur. Star Spangled War Stories had a long run of comics from 90 to 137 that had dinosaurs in every issue except for a couple of issues near the beginning of that run. It was called `The War That Time Forgot`. Kind of hokey, but popular with many folks. They list for more money in the Overstreet. Andy
  12. Thanks, but remember...They are someone's undercopies Looks like this "someone" is playing favorites. It is more like returning a favor It`s all good! (thumbs u I feel it`s just jealousy on my part, and jealousy is never a good thing. Andy
