  1. Hey Jeff, I've been considering selling a lot of books lately, but I probably won't do that until I absolutely must. A problem that can occur with this philosophy is that you won't get a decent buck for your books if you have to sell them quickly. eBay is probably the best bet, cause in 7 or less days, all of your books can be gone. The boards are nice, as you know they'll be going to friends, but $ sometimes is more important when comparing friends and your bills. If you're scratching your head wondering why you collect, then you should probably sell your books off. You may want to do as Mick mentioned and pull out some of your better ones and have a good look at them. That may sway you into keeping them. If you still love your war books and can make ends meet without selling them, you'll probably be thankful later for keeping them. In the end, it's your and your family's choice. Good luck! 2. Shep's obviously cool with it, and if it were my thread I would let it slide as well. Ultimately, it would be the seller adding your name if they were unhappy with you. You adding your own name shows your sincerity and humbleness. Although unnecessary, a fine gesture from a fine lady. My Andy
  3. I figured you had to be in there somewhere Andy and I was shocked to win that many.( not like Keith's auctions ) I had never seen that SSWS 49 before and I instantly fell in love with that cover and would have gone higher. No worries Tats (thumbs u It isn't the first book I've over paid for and it won't be my last war book I pay too much for...or did I Like Shep always says, "All's fair in love, war and war books." Terrific books, girl! I'm still trying to figure out how come I didn't win that SSWS? Keep up the good work. (thumbs u Andy

  6. well, I think we're all thinking the same thing at the same time. I've got a handful of books for sale, including some keys. Don't know how well they'll do here, but this is the first stop before eBay. Probably not this weekend, though, but I will put in a plug. Andy
  7. Actually, I just wanted to change the title.
  8. I don't have my Pedrin guide right in front of me either but I'm certain it lists GIC 45 as having a Rock prototype. And yet the "bible",Overstreet, doesn't. Thanks guys. The Big 5 Guide should be better. Tons of original research into one small corner of the hobby should result in a more complete picture than a general guide could have. In fact, Overstreet has to be careful about appropriating copyright information from the Big 5 Guide. Ah yeah, I've never thought about that from a copyright standpoint. Andy

  10. That sign must mean "Now Entering: Nazi-ville CAP Freak, thanks for posting here. You've just made me take a longer look at this cover, and I love it! It's so simple, yet there is a lot going on, and tells a whole story just on one page. Thanks again!!! Andy
