  1. Well, you're certainly off to a good start Brian. (thumbs u
  2. The gem of my recent deal with Fay. First Blitz Squad and one of my favorite covers of the run.
  3. This was one of the freebies sent to me by Fay after purchasing a lot of Sgt Furys recently It was an unexpected treat, I love this Severin cover. Thanks again Fay!
  4. That's a great book Jeffro! Artwork by Heath, Toth, Glanzman and Kubert...five very good stories in that one. Nice pick up!
  5. I was just thinking that very thing.
  6. Kudos to jeffb for an Eerie Publications slab, shipped swiftly and with outstanding packaging. Thanks again
  7. I wish DC would collect the Stevens stories as well, it's brilliant stuff. I guess they figure it's just not well know enough outside of the war junkies...a shame really.
  8. Thanks guy, I picked these up in CD4Ever's recent sales thread, he had a few more nice BA OFFs but I was either too slow or already had them.
  9. Boy, those Severin Losers stories are the bee's knees!
  10. Whenever someone asks for a Sgt Rock recommendation, I always go with OAAW #256-260. Brilliant Heath artwork with Rock trapped in the Pacific Theater. It was a favorite at the time and still is to this day. (thumbs u
  11. Thanks to Andrew (GACollectibles) I've added a couple more childhood books back to the collection!
  12. Beautiful copy of that! Man, I love those Atlas issues. Wish I could afford to collect those AND DC! Thanks Mick! I wish I could afford to collect both too!
  13. Yet another beer swilling acquisition from October: Okay, so it's Atomic age but this is close enough
  14. Hard to read after all that beer though Probably hard to stay awake too, after eating that pile of burger and bacon. Nah, cappuccino and chocolate are a pretty good counter agent to the alcohol..almost
  15. Ah, nothing like beers, burgers, basketball, and war comics with a friend!
  16. Ever see that show Tank Overhaul? If anyone could build something like this, it's those guys. I have seen that, it's a cool show. Who wouldn't want to see a real life Haunted Tank?!
  17. That's fun stuff Shep! I loved that tank I can't recall what issue it's in but on the letters page of one of the issues in the 150 -170 range, some guy did just what you were planning here and there was a picture posted of his model, and I believe the 'recipe' the guy used to create his version was there as well. Anyway, very cool memories there, let us know when you finish building that thing!
  18. I love the hell outta that thread! Mick and Adamstrange are freakin' blowing my mind every day with their beautiful contributions!

  21. Endless fun!!! My Holy Grail is the Airfix Guadalcanal Playset.... I have looked for years, but have never been able to find one. I had one in 1978, and I'd kill for another one. Hey Shep, Check out this site. It shows the contents of all of those cool war toy sets advertised in the comics. I never got any of these but man, did I ever want to! http://home.att.net/~1.elliott/comicbooktoysoldiers.html
  22. October has really helped me fill out my SSWS collection recently
  23. Yes it is, it's a shame there weren't more Enemy Ace stories...or any stories featuring WW I air combat for that matter. that is aslo one of my favorite Rock covers of all time...a nice little haul for me If I do say so myself ..thanks again Andy! (thumbs u
