  4. Great books Jeffro and Fay! Congrats! The Fury's beginning with issue 44 were great because Severin's fantastic artwork, I'm always glad to see them getting a little more of the love 'round these parts. I hope to finish my 1-100 run before the prices catch up with the rest of the SA.
  5. Thanks Fay! Sorry if I nabbed it ahead of you but you know the story : Anything goes in love and war comics
  6. The BA pick up from the Broadway Brewhouse 2-for-1 beer buy! Awesome Kubert artwork on the Unknown Soldier AND Enemy Ace, great book!
  7. I just picked this one up from October (2 -for-1 beer at the broadway brewhouse makes it harder to type all this now) But the first copy of this book that I owned, I bought from a childhood friend who had setup a roadside table to sell old books that had the logos cut off, 3 for a quarter. It was all I could do to scrounge up that quarter, but I am so happy to finally have a nice copy of this book again! Thanks Andy!
  8. Heck, I can't even vote, I love all these publisher's war titles. It's like choosing one of your children! I just get a big kick out of the genre altogether whether it's being serious or tongue-in-cheek. BTW, you forgot EC
  9. Sweet books Fay! That Star Spangled 151, is one of my favorite books, but I've never even owned a cop[y of G.I.C. 133
  10. [/img] As soon as I seen this drawing I had to take a picture for Karma23. Awesome Fay! Thanks for sharing that! Did you buy it?? What a beautiful piece of artwork! You know how much I love Mr.Heath's work on the Haunted Tank!

  12. My favorite Sgt. Rock period! (thumbs u Congrats Fay, those are really fun books! Enjoy them!
  13. Yes sir, that was the first FF that I remember reading. I was surprised to find that I had so few scanned books that fit this thread, but maybe this one will work.
  14. Glad to help! Lots of good suggestions up there, so read a few and let us know what you think (thumbs u
  15. Someone asked this question over at the Comics Corral recently and I assume it was the same poster, but I am going to answer it the same way here anyway And I am going to exceed the 5 issue limit by offering two story arcs instead : 1. G.I. Combat #161-162, a story that culminates in the death of one of the haunted Tank's crew. The first comic book death of an established character that I remember. 2.Our Army At War #256 - 260, fantastic Russ heath artwork with Rock stranded in the Pacific. These issues also frequently feature fantastic USS Stevens stories, including my favorite 'The Sea Is Calm, The Sky Is Bright', by Sam Glanzman. These are, without question, among my favorites from the era, but you can't go wrong with any of the suggestions above, in particular, OAAW 218, and 244. (thumbs u Oh and that OFF 155 is great! Just action throughout the whole issue, one of my favorites of the entire OFF run.
  16. With a little help from a friend, a show here in Nashville was excellent! One of my all-time favorite covers: and some great Combats, the covers do not reflect how cool these books are, I'm always happy to find nice copies:
