  1. i'm, curious what you guy's thing of the EC war books Frontline Combat and Two-Fisted Tales. i've always really like the covers but i don't see many posted in this thread.

Man, I LOVE 'em. I just discovered them myself over the past year or so but they are outstanding. They may not get mentioned much here since this is a SA thread but when I get one, I have to post it somewhere

Those are nice books, but I'm sad to say that I've never read an EC war book before. I've been told that they are absolutely fantastic. I'll have to try those compendiums some day.

    Andy

You won't regret it Andy. Great stories and artwork(lots by Severin btw). Just fun books altogether. (thumbs u

  2. Found this on eBay and took a chance. For $30 I am pretty happy. Tough book and this one is in decent shape with nice PQ and centering.

  4. Man, those Atlas War books have only been on my radar since I joined the Boards, but I still haven't found any in decent grade at all.

That's a great selection Joe, thanks for sharing! #11 has one of the greatest War covers...ever :applause:

  5. Kudos to blutobc for a couple of great books, shipped safely and very swiftly!

    Thanks again, Brian (thumbs u

Thanks for the kind words, Larry. Glad I could help you on the Avengers run. (thumbs u

Oh, and since this is the kudos thread....Karma23's money spends great. I encourage everyone to take more of his money in the future.

If only there was more to go around :cloud9:

  6. It was a board purchase from Flaming_Telepath, a great guy to do business with for those of you who haven't :gossip:

The book was board graded in the 1.8 - 2.0 range which I obviously agree with.

You can check the PGM Forum to see the grades posted there.

I could never afford a HG copy of this book but this one is tight with solid staples and doesn't have a ton of rips of tears on the cover, so I am perfectly pleased with it!

Three cheers to Nick! I've purchased a few books from Nick, and he is definitely a fine, upstanding citizen. ;) As well as a rock-solid grader and more-than-fair pricer. (thumbs u

Your Avengers run completion is a fantastic accomplishment. One of these days in the far, far distant future, I might complete my 1-200 run.

    Thanks Drew, it's much appreciated!

In an impossible future, I'd love to have a 1-100 or 1-200 run of slabbed books :cloud9:

    I did just pick up a 9.6 #200 on e-bay :headbang:

  7. Well, I've made a big deal of this all over the boards today, so I have to share it here as well lol

That and #4 are on my want list. Just so I know, How much did it cost?

    $250 shipped, Cap :gossip:

    :applause:

    Congratulations!

Which leads to three more questions: (1) where'd you get it, (2) how did the seller grade it, and (3) how would YOU grade it?
