Not quite sure about that yellow along the top edge of the front cover. I don't see other copies like that out there. Around 7.

That's quite a bit of color rub along the spine. All the corners look a little worn, so I can't see this getting over a 9.0. Could be a grade lower if they're unforgiving with the black rub, but they seem to be a little more lenient with black covers

joeypost will be better at IDing those spots, but it doesn't look like conventional foxing to me. Could be some mold. I'd guess around 5.5/6.0 unless those spots come off. The stain on the front will set a ceiling

I think the red stain is ink from the Hulk's pants. The red components of inks tend to do this. I've seen in regularly in books from this era. I will go with a qualified 9.0 b/c of the missing MVS. Everyone has probably been burned by the clipped MVS before. Here's a ?complete? list of MVSs. around 7.0 for various color breaking defects around the edges. A higher res camera or scanner would be useful. The images get grainy when enlarged at the normal board clickthrough

@cchunn3 @grendelbo It's too bad BWS doesn't do signing or appearances, at least with any frequency. Around 10 of these signed on the census & I'll bet most, if not all, are Roy Thomas. Conan 24 & Uncanny X-Men 205 are also in my top 3.

Searched for a while. Finally found a copy that was good enough to acquire.

6.5/7.0. Looks like some loss of black ink that would be the inflection point whether it lands on the FN or VF side of mid-grade

White covers are the worst for online grading, at first glance it looks terrific, but squinting, I'd agree with topping out around 7.0
