  1. I have a 6.5 & we could quibble about the defects of each on how they impact the grade, but I think my 6.5 presents better than this. With that in mind, I think there's a risk here. What was the date this was graded originally?
  2. I'm a little lower 6.0-7.0 based on the tanning, especially along the spine outside, but otherwise a really nice looking copy.
  3. I think you're too low. Looks really nice just the reader's crease? along the spine that breaks color and the paper oxidation on the back. 5.5±0.5 depending on how much GA love the graders have. Of course, there are more qualified people around here to comment on a book like this so take my grade FWIW
  4. Thanks everyone. You've convinced me I did well here. The seller listed as VG, and I thought it looked better than that. The rare example of a seller grading their product too hard.
  5. 6.5/7.0 b/c of whatever the dark spot is on the back. Presents better from the front.
  6. I could see eking a 4.0 out of this one.
  7. I mostly missed the Valiant reboot of these characters growing up due to limited comic buying resources. I've been enamored by these old Gold Key painted covers for a while though. It's been hard to find copies that aren't way overpriced and/or (usually and) beat to hell. I recently got this for what felt like a not insane price. The biggest issue is a stacking bend/spine roll. I'm hopeful that can be improved with a press, but tried to highlight the degree of bend prior to pressing with the side-on shot. Sorry to break my streak of Marvel-only posts since sharing that fake Man-Thing book from DC a while back
  8. Point Five knows his stuff. If it's not restored, maybe a 5.0 pressed
  9. The one thing I've learned is that something that looks perfect, or nearly so, can come back a 9.4, 9.6 or 9.8. It's not immediately obvious why some of my 9.6s aren't 9.8s & vice versa. Hence, I will say ≥9.4
  10. My impression (no pun intended) is that someone traced this on a separate sheet of paper (i.e. there's no additional ink on the cover)? If it's just indentions, maybe you can improve things with a press, but those seem too deep to be removed to an untrained eye. I'll say 4.0 with a chance at 4.5 if the press worked better than we have an right to expect.
