  1. See the pinned thread for proper posting instructions to PGM
  2. 7.5ish from me too. What covers are hard to grade in photos. "Non-color breaking" needs redefined b/c white covers have non-color breaking creases by definition. That doesn't mean the crease or tick isn't the equivalent to a color breaking defect on a different color cover.
  3. 5.0-6.0 is where I'm at. Shame that little piece is missing. I would imagine an easy 6.0 or better without that little defect.
  4. 3.5/4.0. the art does a good job of hiding it, but again the covers have discolored quite significantly, which isn't something CGC likes
  5. 4.0 changed my mind 3.5/3.0 b/c the paper is pretty dark on 2nd look
  6. Looks like there might be an oil transfer stain or a shadow on the back. I'd say 6.0/6.5 for the creases. Maybe a 7.0 from a charitable grader. Really nice looking book.
  7. I'm guessing this gets at least a 6.0 based on age/significance and being in as good conditions as it is. I could see up to 7.0 depending on what the brown spots on the top edge of the BC are
  8. the guide makes writing seem like it's less of a problem than one might guess. Writing alone is a 4.0 floor. To me, it looks like the other defects will set the grade and the wring "won't matter". The rest of the book has a 3.0/3.5 appearance.
  9. 5.0/5.5. That readers crease is pretty prominent
  10. 5.0/5.5 the black cover is in decent shape so gets a little break
  11. you can't get above 7.5 with a detached staple, this looks lower than that disregarding the staple. Max 6.0 based on personal experience.
  12. That looks like printers crease. Given it's length & location, it would keep an otherwise perfect book down to 9.4. It is wrong to say a manufacturing defect doesn't impact the grade, it's right to think of the impact to be much less than the equivalent handling defect. There's a color breaking crease in the BRFC right in the window of the house. The back cover looks discolored, especially the bottom edge. The splotchy-nes has the look of foxing, which isn't removeable. 8.0/8.5
  13. max 9.0. Seems like there are enough color breaking spine stress lines to make that a ceiling
  14. 5.5 Seems like a pretty significant reader crease on most of the spine, plus a color breaking crease in the center of the FC.
  15. My read of the Guide is that this is too large a piece not to have some designation on the label. It might be a 0.5 if there's missing story. As a cutting of a non-story page, 2.5 but Qualified label.
