  1. Around 7.07.5. Kind of wondering if the spot around the CCA box is from water exposure or something else. It could lower the grade.
  2. these GA Superman books always defy my expectations. 2.5/3.0. So, a 3.5 or 9.8 in all likelihood
  3. I have 4? stained books graded. 1 before I knew about stains (it's not unsightly at all, but 5.5), 1 I knew about & sent for signing b/c there wasn't another affordable copy available (5.5) & two with tiny stains (6.0 & 8.0, the 8.0 was on the back cover). It really is too bad since these books can present really well. I got grade shock on the 6.0 b/c we totally missed the tiny, light spot. I had to stare at the book in the case for quite a while before I found it.
  4. i see enough spine ticks and whatnot that the printing error will not be determinative. Likely no impact on the grade
  5. You may not see the stain on the outside, but I'm fairly confident that the CGC screening methods would pick something up. 6.0 max. 5.5 probable
  6. Such a nice copy, except that BL corner. I'd press it, but some of those creases break color and I doubt it will completely press out. 7.0/7.5
  7. Leave it. Creases break color and the tape is probably the level setter anyway
  8. they're not being as cruel with little spine ticks, but I'd still say maxes out at 9.4
  9. Looks dark, but I think that's just the lighting of the photo. >9.2
  10. Trigger warning here for me. I sent my newsstand for a sign/grade & it came back a direct with a sketch & signature. Long story short, they f-ing lost my book. Maybe yours can morph into a newsstand. I don't see much going on here, but the yellow and slight miswrap along the spine with the white make it easy to miss tiny imperfections. >9.2
  11. That BRFC is pretty bad. I have a similar crease on the back cover of a 7.0. Since their standard is to treat the front more harshly than the back, I'd guess topping out at 6.5
  12. Going to say 3.5, but I've seen Batman/Superman keys from the era go higher than my eyes tell me they should, so 4.0.
  13. I'd like to see it cleaned to be more accurate, but I can see this getting all the way to 5.0. Even a 5.5 with special dispensation for being a big key. It's an issue I'd love to own, but can't really see putting up the $$$ given all the other stuff I want.
  14. Maybe. Doesn't tend to work like that. There's a bunch of interesting stuff, including high quality are and stories that don't inspire collectors. There may be a niche market, it's just hard to say unless you find them. There is a Golden Age forum to see how those specialize collectors feel about these kind of books
  15. There's an "Ask CGC" forum here. It's the easiest way to get your question answered. Post the books there
  16. Looks like some light foxing or oxidation of the paper in the white areas. Hard to say with these >50 year old books how much allowance there might be for natural processes. 9.2/9.4. No books from this series have ever been grading from what I can see. No recent sales and only lower grade copies for sale. Couldn't tell you if there would be any interest in a high grade copy of this book
  17. tear around "MOST"? 6.0/6.5 I think the crease is too long give the other smaller defects to get out of the FN range
  18. 3.0, maybe 3.5 with a lot of work cleaning up what can be cleaned
  19. staining like this water stain will get hammered. 3.0 tops
  20. A 5.0/5.5 that CGC will bump to 6.0 b/c of Superman
