Then using that as evidence of a booming market, sending out press releases and doing interviews without disclosing that they were hyping their own books. They sell the comics again for even higher prices and ride out the avalanche of business created by the hype, that they created.
This could never happen in comics, I PROMISE.

OA from 1937!
Congratulations.

Barely, 1969. Which means I had a lot of DC's from the 80s.

Nice pick-up. I always wondered about how the Flash never seems to get sore at the things he does. The angle of his arm blowing back the water looks painful.

Too late to scroll through all pages, but I assume this is the thread where we say our goodbyes. Let me know where we’re moving to, unless it’s Facebook, then I’m out.
My guess: CCG marketplace will be launched shortly after they shut down the boards. Don’t worry about the 10% fee to CCG for selling, when you submit your books to be graded before they list it in the marketplace, the grade will come in higher than you expected, netting you, and CCG more.

Metamorpho was a leader in 60’s collage covers. Who’s going to start the collage covers thread?

One day, if I ever sell my raw copy, I plan to use the CGC boards to let everyone know that all G+/VG- copies are rare and highly sought after.

Yeah I'm totally here for the Groo love, he's what got me into comics as a kid and I still love them. Also the fact that you're swapping them out so often means even with limited space you're probably enjoying your comic collection more than 99% of us. Kudos grendelbo, from one bo to another.
My daughter as well. We recognized Sergio at a cafe in Ojai early one summer, then mentioned it to him at SDCC where he proceeded to draw a great sketch for her.

I can’t argue with that. But I also don’t have a problem with Hulk 1 in the 2 spot. But as @Dark Knightsaid, a tie for the 2 spot would be ideal.
I can argue with that, Hulk smash FF!

Whelp, there’s still some restored books, TRIMMED, that aren’t blowing off the roof.

I got my latest piece to my 1950s DC ensemble/variety title #1 collection today and I just had to update my group shot. Thanks to @jimjum12 for the gorgeous HOM 1. Only three to go…
What’s left?

I joked to my wife that I could use one of the kids college funds for the Kirby art I wanted. It went for $40k more than what’s in the account.

Those books and prices will be very interesting to see. I would immediately however, send that book along with proof of purchase to the CGC to document that it is a graded promise book which deserves the pedigree label

Isn't that Myslabbedcomics.com? I haven't used it, but Ryan suggested they have no fees.
You’ve done two things, with a single response…
1. Proved My thinking correct
2. Demonstrated I’m a lazy bum who can’t be bothered to scroll back one page of a two page thread.

You have 0% here on the boards, Instagram, FB and smaller sites. How much longer until a 0% competitor comes along?

So far, it looks like this is still on. Anyone planning on attending? Maybe a board dinner Friday night?
