  1. The other things in the background are less interesting there's Stark tower rebranded Qeng (pronounced Kang I would imagine) industries, a wrecked helicarrier, either Thanos or Ronans spaceship, a lot of skeletons one large enough I assumed it was a chitauri leviathan, and oddly Yellowjackets helmet from the first Ant Man movie I'd have to watch it again to look for more, but I don't think I saw any other "new" things that would cause other books to jump.
  2. The Spidey Super Stories books were already in such low supply but add in something silly like the Thanoscopter and have it show up in Loki? You got yourself a perfect storm. Also just for anyones reference it's not a copper though, it's bronze.
  3. If you're gonna page him page him right! @SkOw
  4. @HotKey Wasn't suggesting his first appearance was between Fantastic Four and Marvel Premiere he was saying the debate was whether Fantastic Four #66 or #67 is his first appearance. With that said would you care to elaborate exactly what's contradictory here? If you had any explanation besides an unfounded opinion it would be easier to figure out what part you can't comprehend. What I presented was not a theory, but the factual written history of the singular character that originally goes by name "Him" and later adopts the name "Adam Warlock". The soul gem doesn't make him a new character. He's not endowed with newfound sentience from it or given a new soul by accepting it. It's literally a cosmic bauble the High Evolutionary gives him to help fight against the Man Beast. When Thanos wields the Soul Gem does he become a new character? Of course not. When Adam Warlock loses the Soul Gem does he cease to be Adam Warlock? No chance. This recap from Marvel Premiere #2 may help you. Even AFTER re-emerging from his cocoon in his new outfit he's still HIM or the nameless one. He's still the same character who was born in FF #66/67, shows up in Thor 163-166, floats off into outer space, is picked up by the High Evolutionary in Marvel Premiere #1 and comes out of his cocoon once again when his help was needed. Every time his origin is recapped it includes all of these parts, so I fail to see how this could ever possibly equate to him being a new character. Please tell me what I can do to help you understand his simple linear story progression.
  5. I sense some trolling, if only I had both books in front of me... What's this the splash page? Featuring the unleashed power of the being known only as Him?!... But surely you must be right! I mean its not like they specifically cite Fantastic Four #66 and #67 as his origin... Well they must not give an explanation as to his new costume, powers, and name... Apologies may be in order...but I dont think they should be from me...
  6. Really? Even though Him first appeared in Fantastic Four 67 and had other appearances in Thor after that? You're contradicting yourself now. Just because a character receives an update and a new name doesn't make it a new character, if they wanted to make a totally new character they would have. Is Carol Danvers first appearance not Marvel Super-Heroes #13 because she didn't have powers and a costume until Ms. Marvel #1? Is Ant Man's first appearance not Tales To Astonish #27 because he didn't have a suit and a code name?
  7. I guess I may be guilty of misremembering too Snowbirds name is Anne and one of the pilots of their plane is called Annie. I thought the pilot was Snowbird in disguise since they're nearly identical in appearance and she doesn't appear before or after these 2 Alpha Flight books. This all just for the sake of arguing the topic. I have both issues, paid the same price for each, and I'm not intending on selling them, they were just the strongest counter example I could come up with.
  8. Snowbird not Aurora, but regardless in this case unlike all the others presented we're not talking about a 1 or 2 panel stinger at the end of an issue to tease a character coming next month. All of Alpha Flight is running a mission to capture Wolverine and the X Men for the entire length of the issue. They are the main focus of the story, every character has conversations either with each other, or even the X Men. Even if their time isn't evenly distributed they all affect the outcome of the story. Vindicator appears in 20 panels, Sasquatch in 11, Snowbird in 8, Aurora and Northstar in 4, and Shaman with the least at 3. We dont get full looks at their superhero costumes, but the whole team is well identified, named, and their powers are used and affect the story. Snowbird may be the exception because we don't see any of her costume, but appearing as a human is part of her powerset. Vindicator has the biggest presence because he serves as their leader and our main contact to tie all the seperate threads together, but that's because he was already introduced in #109. Just because CGC prints something doesn't make it true, hell there are plenty of slabbed copies of X Men #120 that list it as the first appearance of Vindicator when he had all of issue #109 as a premiere. I will say #121 is definitely the first time we see all of Alpha Flight assembled in a singular panel, but to call it their first appearance seems totally illogical.
  9. There are far too many like this. How about Alpha Flight? They're on the cover of X Men #120, the group and its purpose are named, each characters face is shown in the book with a blurb about who they are, their backstory, and their alter ego, most of them talk throughout, all of them are shown fighting the X Men (albeit at a few odd angles) but that's their cameo appearance and #121 is their full? Seems silly seeing as how they're the driving force of the story in both books. #121 is certainly more action oriented but #120 sets everything up. Where's the consensus here?
  10. In the first ten minutes not sure of an exact time stamp, he's stuck in the jar trying to get his tiny Mjolnir back
  11. Frog Thor trapped in the jar has to be one of the saddest moments, he doesn't deserve that treatment. You can also see the helmet of Yellowjacket worn by Corey Stoll in Ant Man, which could also confirm that he's making a return in Quantumania like Evangine Lily let slip.
  12. Could use a clean but other than that no glaring defects, for the price it was a no brainer
  13. A "couple" of X Men books. For as much fanfare as Jean and Cyclops get I think Havok and Polaris make for a far more interesting pair.
  14. I've been waiting by the door for this one! It popped up on the 'Bay for $80 and I couldn't smash the buy it now button fast enough. It was packed a little questionably since it wasn't from a regular comic seller, but it managed to arrive unscathed
  15. Just to add to the pile of villains blowing up there are next to no copies of Avengers #10 on eBay. Clearly Kang hype extends to all incarnations.
  16. God no! That would be the worst. I was thinking mostly just gladiatorial death matches none of that other nonsense. I know Mojo is repulsive but Ryan Reynolds would make it hysterical just think of the scene where TJ Miller is making fun of Wade's messed up face but 100x times worse. Not to mention if you bring in an Xavier you can roll mutants into the MCU by having him create a new cerebro to detect the X gene in our existing universe.
  17. It blows my mind that villains have come this far. Up until recently only top tier bad guys commanded serious premiums, but with hero keys slipping further and further out of the average persons reach the next play is obviously to jump on the evil doers.
  18. With Spider-Man No Way Home tying the previous franchises universes into the MCU I've been thinking of the best way to introduce the already existing Mutants into the MCU. Deadpool 3 is most likely our first Disney led X movie, and I think the best plot to bring in the various X characters has to be Mojoverse. Pitting Wade against a cybernetic nearly amorphous blob already writes its self, but it would also allow them to have Mojo pull characters from all the seperate X timelines to combat each other for his multiversal cable show. The possibilities? Basically endless at that point. You could get anyone you want: X 23 from Logan, some of the New Mutants like Magik and Dani, Mcavoy and Fassbender without having to retcon their time constrained origins, Cable and Colossus from Deadpool, whoever else you need from Age of Apocalypse/Dark Phoenix to fill out your roster, and New characters like Longshot or whoever else is necessary to tell the story without having to recast every single character since Fox basically used them all. Just a thought anyway
  19. Also I didn't see anyone mention it when they were talking about Abomination in the Shang Chi trailer, but Tales of Suspense #50 seems like it should be pretty hot.
  20. Namor's allegedly showing up soon, and that has to be the best silver age Sub Mariner book to have. It'll probably never catch FF 5, but I think it will continue to get closer until Doom finally shows up and then Victor will take his victory lap.
