  1. No one wants to talk about the new suits and toy reveals?
  2. The First official image has come in the way of a Lego set! The new suit is interesting looks like a cross between Infinity War Iron Spider and the Far From Home suit
  3. The time keepers being robots means there's a bigger bad pulling the strings not sure if it's Ravonna, Kang, or another Loki (or maybe Miss Minutes she was a bit TOO cheerful) not enough to go on yet. The pruned variants are in some alternate New York timeline, as evidenced by the burnt out Avengers tower behind silver age Loki, where there was a cataclysmic event of some kind that probably wiped out all of humanity. Crocodile Loki is almost certainly for terrorizing Frog Thor, or Throg as he's sometimes called. There was a Lego leak of a Loki figure in the "variant" jacket holding a Frog Thor. I imagine we'll deal with that next week.
  4. The ship has definitely sailed on #19 but Deadly Hands of Kung Fu #22 can still be found cheap I love the way they used the negative space of the panel borders to form the overarching face in the 2nd pic.
  5. It's funny you mention that because the writer for Loki was a writer for Rick and Morty too
  6. Oops you're right the 4th totally slipped my mind, I don't know how much I'd actually adjust my estimate though. I think more people will going out of town to parties, parades, and barbecues rather than the movies. I'll say 110-115 on the high side to be generous. (disclaimer* I'm no financial analyst just an armchair movie enthusiast who checked boxofficemojo for the first time in almost 2 years so my opinion should be taken with than a grain of salt)
  7. They hardly have any commercials out for this which is pretty confusing to me. This is their first foray back to the box office and they're not even going to promote it? I don't know if they blew the whole advertising budget the first go round, but being just over a week away my TV should be saturated with ads by now. I don't see this pulling big numbers at this point it's going to be a blip. I'm seeing more ads for Fast 9 and it's already been out for a few days. Fast 9 hit 70 mil this weekend about 30 mil less than Fast 8. Average drops have been ~60% down on the 2nd week for the biggest movies so far, so Fast 9 will probably only take around 30 mil this coming week settling at about 100 mil for 2 weeks (Fast 8 did 160 mil after the 2nd week for reference). I can't see Black Widow doing any better than that. It's a Marvel solo movie. They don't do anywhere near what the big team ups do. This isn't Black Panther, this is an inconsequential side plot for a dead character that most people aren't going to care about. Movie theaters aren't seeing anywhere near pre pandemic attendance. I'm going peak hours on the weekend and only seeing 5-8 other people in a theater. This is how it's going to be until early next year at the least.
  8. The rules say they qualify as either, 80-84 is the overlap. Now if that book were one month later and published Jan 85 you'd have a case
  9. "It's organic!" They have to make a joke about this Garfield and Holland are going to think Maguire is gross for shooting his bodily fluids all over town
  10. I love the idea of this game I've been meaning to pull the trigger on a copy for a while. I like all the expansions and I already have a bunch of the Dungeons magazines that have character builds for other characters who didn't make it into full retail sets (I mean come on who doesn't want to play as Slapstick?)
  11. Tim Roth is confirmed to be back as Abomination in She Hulk so I imagine he did the voice at the very least for this Shang Chi cameo
  12. What if PH 1 was December 07 World War Hulk 5 was Jan 08 so it's a 1 month difference obviously I don't represent the market but that seems like an intentional teaser leading into the main story
  13. Well its a What If? so it's not in continuity of the main marvel universe, and he doesn't make a great appearance he's mostly in shadows the whole time, and he isn't named he's just alongside his mother so do with that what you will. The market decides what the right book is, god only knows what factors decide it. There are so many dubious "first appearances" be they actually seconds like Wolverine or Apocalypse or a first who's more of a concept like we have here with Skaar or Gwenpool whose initial cover app is not the actual new character.
  14. At those prices you can't go wrong! I doubt he'll actually show up, but if he does you can start your son a nice little college fund (or add to an existing one)
  15. The superhuman fight club is going to be interesting. I'm wondering who else they'll have facing off in it as easter eggs/plot points. To show Abomination and Wong so early bodes well. I'm hoping with the potential inclusion of Charlie Cox in Spider-Man No Way Home, and Kristen Ritter in She Hulk we might see Finn Jones back as Iron Fist for a bout against someone. Wong makes sense between Kamar Taj and the Hong Kong Sanctum he has a presence in that part of the world. If Iron Fist is back in Kun Lun he would probably be in the same general area giving him motive to be there as well, not to mention we have ties to dragons in this film, Shao Lao anyone? Other than that I'm not sure who else we could see fighting maybe White Tiger? Colleen Wing? Elektra? There probably won't be many CGI heavy characters like Abomination.
  16. Got it on VHS if you want to borrow it? (Be kind, please rewind!)
