Here are some framed commission I have hanging on my wall starting with Steve Mannion's Baroness and Simon Bisley's Vega:
My framed Vega by Shane Heron and Baroness by Joe Pekar:
My framed Baroness by Mike Hoffman:
And my framed Vega by Alex Ogle
As far as new commissions go, here is a 8" x 10" Vega by Joe Pekar:
And a rather dubious looking 9" x 12" Baroness by Marvel/DC artist Georges Jeanty:
Given his work credentials, I expected a little more. So I am a bit disappointed in this piece. I'm not sure why he decided to make her a dwarf, though. Oh well, I guess they all can't be winners...

So, in any of your opinions, was it a better piece just pencilled, or is it better inked? I like them both, which make me useless on that subject. But, I am thinking about having him do a second commission, full figure, in a scene.
I always prefer inked pieces in my collection so I may be a bit bias in thinking the inked piece looks better.
As for commissions I have this 8" x 11" Baroness by Joe Webster:
I got this 9" x 12" Vega from Jim Calafiore:
And this 9" x 12" Vega from Rich Woodall:
Finally, I got this 8" x 11" Vega from Gus Mauk:

I'd like some cool Marvel villain pages (circa 1970's-80's) and if there are some Marvel heroes on the page as well, that's cool too...

I got these 11" x 17" commissions from Johnny Segura III starting with Vega and The Baroness:
My interaction with him was so positive and his prices so reasonable that I got a few more pieces for my niece and nephew, starting with Deadpool / Spider-Man for my nephew
And movie-verse Captain Marvel and Harley Quinn for my niece:
Then, I had them framed for their birthdays this month:

Just me in one of my many villainous outfits...

1) John Romita Sr.
2) Todd McFarlane
3) Steve Ditko
4) Gil Kane

My active Amazing Spider-Man collecting days ran between the mid-80's to the mid-90's so my ranking is based upon that experience:
1) John Romita Sr. - To me, when I think of the quintessential comic book Spider-Man, I think of John's artwork. I would be exposed to his artwork, as it was before my collecting days, through the Marvel Tales reprints that I would buy at a independent bookstore that sold back issues of comic books.
2) Todd McFarlane - This blew my teenage mind when I first saw McFarlane's work on the newsstands and in my hand. I fancied myself a bit of an artist as a kid and I tried hard to emulate his style (and failing miserably).
3) Steve Ditko - Again, he was before my collecting days but I saw some of his work again through Marvel Tales reprints. I thought is was simple and quaint as a kid but I have grown to appreciate his style as an adult and his importance in establishing my favorite Webhead.

I've always had an affinity for villains since my childhood days (Decepticons, Cobra, V.E.N.O.M., etc.) so I wanted to come up with a cool name while not copying any established villainous characters (i.e. Megatron1984 or Storm Shadow84). So I figured a lot of bad guys have triple names so I went for the 3 most traitorous people I could think of: Benedict Arnold (traitor to the Continental Army), Judas Iscariot (no explanation needed), and Cain (traitor to his brother, Abel). Hence, I would be Benedict Judas Cain, the most wicked bad guy in the galaxy!
Unfortunately, the previous forum I joined had a character limit that cut off the last letter of "Cain" and I refused to make my username all 1 run-on word so I had to come up with a 3-letter villainous name. That's how I came up with the original Asgardian goddess of death, Hel. And thus that's what I became there and what I am here.

I'm new to the boards and got into commission art collecting relatively recently (about 1-2 years ago) so my first few posts will be commissions I got during my aforementioned 1-2 year span. Hopefully I get it right since this is my first post...
My commissions will feature 2 characters (either solo or together): Vega from Capcom's Street Fighter II video game (who was my favorite character and my main during my arcade fighting days) and The Baroness from Cobra.
(*I'm hoping I figured how to attach the pics correctly...)
First up is a 9" x 12" Steve Mannion Baroness:
Here is a 9" x 12" Baroness by Mike Hoffman:
Here is a 11" x 17" Vega by Alex Ogle:
And here is a 8" x 10" Vega by Simon Bisley:

And here are some sketch covers/original art I got before I had my Vega/Baroness motif going starting with an 11" x 17" Catwoman by Everette Hartsoe:
A 5" x 7" Critter by Cody Schibi:
A sketch cover by Dan Brereton:
A sketch cover by The Living Corpse Crew (which I got mainly for David Michelinie's signature):
And a sketch cover from Arthur Suydam (which I wish I had my motif before I got this as I would have asked for a proper commission rather than a convention sketch!):
